Chicken, Chicken, and More Chicken

In case those of you back home wonder what we eat while visiting with our sister church in the D.R.. Here you go…

Yes. Every day. Several times a day.

If you had to eat the same meal every day for a week what would it be?

A Long day

Today was a long day but I was so PROUD of the team. They worked REALLY hard. We tied re-bar, carried almost 400 hundred buckets of sand to the second floor along with a couple hundred buckets of water so we could mix concrete.

The church is looking great. The walls of the second floor are almost complete!

Days like this make me so THANKFUL for all of you back home at Cross Point who have never been here but have faithfully given for years to make the church here a reality. You guys are the best.

To all of you with family members here, you will be glad to know there were few, if any, significant injuries today. Just a few cuts and bruises.

Getting ready to eat some chicken and rice and then go get some ice cream!!

Flying Out This Morning!

If everything happened as planned, by the time you read this, I will be in the air and on my way to the Dominican Republic. I get the opportunity to spend the next 7 days with a group from Cross Point as we continue to build the church/feeding center we sponsor.

You can track us as there will be several of us blogging live throughout the trip. CLICK on the image below to visit the blog and feel free to copy and paste the images available on the site to help us get the word out.

BLOGGING LIVE FROM THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

As I pack my final things tonight, I find myself very thankful.

Thankful for a beautiful family that means the world to me.

Thanks for a church that is passionate about serving those in third world countries.

Thankful for an amazing staff. I’ll be gone for 8 days and our church will not miss one beat. Jenni Catron, who leads the day to day operations of the church does an amazing job along with the rest of the team. I’m honored and humbled to get to serve with each one of them!

A Global Cross Point Easter

This year Cross Point celebrated Easter in three locations. We had simultaneous services in Nashville, Dickson, and the Dominican Republic.

Easter Nashville

Easter Dickson

Easter Dominican

A team of 20 from Cross Point spent their week working on the church building of our Dominican Republic church plant. Although the building is far from being completed, Pastor Moises led their first service in the new church on Easter Sunday.

Here is an awesome video of the construction and ministry that happened this past week. I am so proud of this group of men and women. I am also proud of the entire Cross Point Church who through their weekly giving is making the construction of this church possible. You guys humble me with your generosity.
