I Can’t Wait For Tomorrow!

One of my favorite Cross Point Nashville events is our fall picnic. We’ve done it every year since we started the church 6 years ago.

If you’re in Nashville tomorrow join us for one of our four services at 8:30, 10:30, 11:45 or 6:00 p.m. as we continue our series “baggage”.  Then you’ve got to drop by the County Fair Picnic.

There will be food, fun, costumes, and some crazy games for all. It’s a great opportunity for our entire Cross Point Nashville community to gather together.

Bring a side dish or desert and come out and join us Sunday, October 12th at 1:00 p.m. at Edwin Warner Park areas 9, 10 & 11.

See you there!

Cross Point Dickson: Mark your calendar for Sunday, October 26th at 4:30 p.m. – The County Fair is coming your way too!

Pray Less and Listen More!

We are continuing our series at Cross Point we’ve entitled “SYNC”. We’re spending the summer looking at the disciplines, the rhythms, and the practices that we should arrange our life around if we really want Christ to be formed in our life.

Yesterday we talked about prayer.

I confessed to our church that in many ways I have reduced prayer down to a transaction. I’ve reduced God down to a vending machine. I go to him when I need something. Truth be known, I really don’t know what to do with God when I get done with my “list”.

God is teaching me these days that prayer is about so much more than my “list”. God is so much bigger than the vending machine I’ve reduced him to. I worship a God that breathed life into me so that I can know Him and love Him. And he longs to have a relationship with me.

So my commitment this week is that I’m going to pray less and listen more. When I get done with my list, I’m just going to sit in His presence. I’m going to see if just maybe God has something he wants to say to me.

How about you? What is God teaching you about prayer these days? What is God showing you about himself?

Cross Point Campuses Partner

I’m so proud of the mission trip Ryan Bult led this past weekend. Ryan took a Cross Point missions team that consisted of people from both the Nashville and Dickson campuses. This is the first time both campuses have partnered together to serve and it was awesome. Further proof that Cross Point is ONE CHURCH that happens to meet in two locations.

These individuals took off for a weekend mission trip to Wheelright, KY. While there, they helped serve some local families by doing home renovations and making improvements to the ministry center there.

I’m so proud of both campuses for getting out there and serving in this way!

Don’t Miss This Sunday!

If you attend the Cross Point Nashville campus you will not want to miss this weekend! Whatever you do make sure you attend at 9, 11, or 6 this Sunday and bring a friend with you as we continue our Plan B series. While I’m not going to give you any details, I believe in my heart it will be a worship experience we will be talking about for years!

Okay, here’s one behind the scenes picture for you just because you read “Without Wax”.

A Beautiful Mess

easter

On Monday things started to get crazy here at the Cross Point Nashville campus. Lots of equipment, lights, and other things I don’t understand. It’s going to look and sound amazing!

I have been talking with Pastor Chad about things at the Cross Point Dickson campus. They are getting fired up about celebrating their first Easter together. They face unique challenges meeting in the high school, but I know it will prove to be a Easter those of you in Dickson will not want to miss.

I hope you have been praying about who you are going to invite this weekend. If you have someone in mind, let me know so I can join you in praying for them.
