This past Sunday we launched an exciting new series entitled Drift. We are attempting to have a series of conversations to figure out how and why Christianity has drifted from its original roots.
God has been working me over this week as I have prepared for week 2. As I shared last week, a recent survey asked a group of non-Christians to describe Christianity. 87% of the respondents said they think it’s “judgmental”. This weekend at Cross Point we are going to ask and answer some difficult questions. Are we in fact too judgemental as Christians? Should we play some kind of role in judging others in our society to keep the values of God in the forefront of our culture?
Like it or not there is an overwhelming conclusion being drawn by those outside of the Christian faith that Christians are condemning, critical and judgemental individuals. And even worse, because we represent Christ on earth, they have connected the dots. They not only believe this about us, they believe it about Him.
This subject is overwhelming me these days, so I needed a laugh. You probably need a laugh too, so watch this. I want to make it clear that this video is not making fun of Jesus. This video is making fun of YOU. It’s making fun of ME. It’s pointing out how so many of us have bought into a very unBiblical version of what Christ is really about. This is unfortunately what many people outside of Christianity think about when they think about Jesus. Now, where would they get such an idea?

Let’s talk about it,
