Sustained Life Change

I’m so excited about this weekend at Cross Point as we make a push on all of our campuses for Community Groups. While you can sign up for a community group anytime, several times a year we make a big push for sign-ups.

This past fall on one Sunday alone we had 1,500 people sign up for a community group. Most of them for the first time. I’m praying for the same thing this weekend. We’re launching 50 new groups at the Bellevue campus alone!

Sustained Life Change

I am so excited for our Cross Point small groups ministry. Yesterday we saw hundreds of people at all of our campuses join a community group for the first time. At our Bellevue campus alone I heard 281 people signed up for a group for the first time. Amazing!

Few things make me as excited as watching people take that step. We’ve always said we would never judge success at CP by how many people we lined up in rows, but by how many people we could circle up in homes knowing this is the environment for sustained life change.

Thanks to each one of you who took that step to get in a group and a HUGE thank you to those of you who stepped up to lead a group!

If you’re interested in keeping up with the Community Group ministry here at Cross Point then follow their new blog. It’s called Continue The Conversation. It’s full of great information as well as training for leaders. You can also follow them on twitter HERE.

Here’s Your Chance!

Our Gommunity Groups fair launches this Sunday. Ryan Bult and his team have been working hard to get everything ready.

If you attend one of our Cross Point campuses and you’re not in a Community Group, this is your chance! At both our Nashville and Dickson Campuses you’ll have the opportunity to sign up for a group this Sunday.

You can also go online HERE to browse some of  the groups offered. Community Groups represents Cross Point at her best!

On a side note, I saw this video the other day about Community Groups that I thought was hilarious…

Have you ever been in a Community Group before?  What was your experience like?

So the rumors are true….

Anne’s coming on staff and we are so excited. You can read all about her big move HERE!

I am so blessed to be surrounded by what I believe is the best team I’ve ever worked with. They work hard, pray hard, lead hard and play hard. I’m so thankful for each one of them. I know Anne is going to be an incredible fit and will help us take one more step toward becoming the community God is calling us to be.

Right now at Cross Point we are also in the process of accepting applications for a few other staff positions.

Beautiful Picture of Community

I often receive e-mails from people at Cross Point that have been impacted through the relationships they have developed in their community group. Here is a great one that I received earlier this week…
Good morning, Pastor Pete!  I know in your message yesterday you talked about the importance of community groups.  So, I thought that I would share a good story with you.  I have been renovating my house over the last couple of weeks and my parents came to visit this weekend to help (and they love our church, FYI).  Well, we started to strip the wallpaper in my kitchen and found 2 layers of border, over 3 layers of wallpaper!  It was hideous!  We did as much as we could to get it off, but there just weren’t enough hands or enough time to get it done.  So, because our group (Messy Spirituality) is in between books right now, my group has offered to come over on Wednesday night of this week in lieu of our meeting and strip wallpaper with me!  It’s amazing how they have become some of my best friends and always willing to lend a helping hand.  I’m so thankful to have them in my life and thankful to Crosspoint for having brought us together.  Anyway, I hope this brightens your day.  It has absolutely brightened mine!!!  Have a great week!
This is Cross Point at its best. I love it when the church acts like the church!
