Plan B For $2.99

I often get asked if I’m sick of talking about Plan B. First of all, you have to understand that I had no idea a year after the book’s release, I would still be getting the opportunity to talk about it.

So no, I’m not sick of it at all.

In fact, more than ever before I believe in the message of hope that lies within the pages of this book.

I’m bringing all this up because I’ve got some great news. As of yesterday, Amazon is running an incredible offer where you can purchase the Kindle edition for just $2.99!!!! It won’t last long but it’s just in time to add to your summer reading list or if you’ve already got a copy, gift it to someone else.

CLICK HERE to purchase Plan B for just $2.99.

And to all of you who went ahead and jumped on the deal yesterday…Thank you. You have no idea how much your support means to me. Look what you did!

What else is on your summer reading list?

Huge Thanks

Just wanted to say a huge thanks to Grupo Nelson for an amazingly successful book tour in Mexico. Those are some hard working people.  We’ve got a busy day today but we’ll be flying back to Nashville later this evening.

I had the best time and met some of the most amazing people on our seven day whirlwind. So thankful to all of you who allowed us to enter into your shattered dreams, hurt, and disappointments with you. I take that very seriously and we’ll be praying for you.

Here’s just a few pics from the past couple days.

Looking For An Easter Series?

About this time every year I start to panic just a little as I begin to think about my Easter message and the series to follow.

I’ve got a possible solution for you if you’re in the same boat.

Hundreds of churches have been doing the Plan B Book as a series at their church and I constantly hear how it’s going great for them.  I think it’s one of the most powerful series we’ve ever done here at CrossPoint over the past 8 years and it’s a great follow up to bring your Easter visitors back. The reality is your church is full of people who are trying to make sense of their Plan B’s. They’re asking, “What do I do when life doesn’t turn out in the way I thought it was going to turn out?”  If your church is interested in doing a similar series just email me at pete@crosspoint.tv and I’ll send you the manuscripts for the 5 week series.

Sick Of It?

I was out with a friend for lunch last week when someone who had just finished reading Plan B approached me. She told me a little about her own “Plan B” and what was currently going on in her life. We exchanged thoughts and as she walked off my friend turned to me and asked, “Are you getting sick of that yet?”

“Sick of what?” I replied.

“Everyone in the world sharing their shattered dreams, disappointments and hurts with you,” he said.

I thought for a moment and simply responded, “Not at all.”

I think when you write a book called Plan B you kind of expect it. I can’t tell you what an honor it’s been over the past eight months to hear your stories. Whether you shared it in person, in the comments of a blog post, or via email I appreciate your bravery, honesty, and desire for healing in your life.

I got word last week that in addition to the Spanish translation it will now be translated into Korean as well!!!  I’m so excited about seeing even more people be impacted by the message of this book and it couldn’t have happened without your continued support.

As we go into these next couple weeks before Christmas, I want to ask you to think about who in your life might benefit from the message of this book. While Christmas is so exciting for many of us, there are also so many people hurting this time of year. For many, Christmas is a painful reminder that their lives are not turning out the way they had hoped. Would you consider giving your book away to them? If you don’t want to give yours away would you consider purchasing a copy for them?

I bet there’s at least one person in your life who desperately needs to know that God is most powerfully present even when He seems most apparently absent.

When God Speaks

One of the most amazing things to me as a believer is how God has spoken to me over and over again throughout my life.

Sometimes it’s like a gigantic flashing billboard and sometimes it’s a soft, gentle whisper you wonder if you occasionally miss because of all the noise.

Sometimes it’s a verse that jumps off the pages of Scripture and seems to slap me in the face and other times it’s a lyric in a worship song that touches me deeply and leaves me forever changed.

This past weekend I had the opportunity to speak at Biltmore Baptist in Asheville, North Carolina (which is ironically one of two US cities I think I could move to and be totally happy). They asked me to speak on “Plan B” which I was more than happy to do. After each service I signed books in the lobby and got to meet the incredible people that call Biltmore home.

I met a lady who the night before while wondering through Wal-mart bought a copy of “Plan B” for her friend, Teresa, who was going through a difficult time. Now, that might not sound real interesting, but now imagine that she had NEVER heard of me or “Plan B.” She said she stood there looking at the books and “Plan B” just kind of jumped out at her and she thought of her friend. Sunday morning she woke up and put “Plan B” in her purse to give to her friend Teresa at church, and headed out the door.

Now imagine her surprise when they announced that a guy by the name of Pete Wilson was there to speak today on a book he had written called “Plan B.”

How stinking cool is that?

So her friend Teresa got her book and in the same moment had the opportunity to hear the author share his heart.

This morning I woke up with Teresa on my mind. She’s now a single mom with two small kids to raise since her husband recently abandoned her and the children. That’s one heck of  a Plan B.

But here’s what I know. God cares about Teresa.

How much?

Enough he would send her friend to Wal-mart and then inspire her friend to pick up “Plan B” for her.

Enough that He would lead her to Bilmore Baptist Sunday morning.

Enough that He would orchestrate my schedule to make sure I was there.

Enough He would allow me to hear her story and be sitting here 24 hours later praying for her.

Enough that a couple thousand people will read this post today and many will stop to pray for her.

How much?

Clearly a lot.

Don’t you just love it when God does cool stuff like that?

Crosswalk Interview

This summer I did an interview with Croswalk.com while I was in St. Louis. They took the interview and put it to a cool little video. I thought this was a nice way to spruce up a little audio interview. Hope you find it encouraging today.

Your Prayers Appreciated

There are a couple of significant things going on with “Plan B” today that I wanted to make you aware of and ask you to pray about.

First, I’m really excited to announce “Plan B” is releasing nationally in Wal-mart stores. I believe this gives the message of this book a great chance to get into the hands of people who would not normally visit a Christian book store or even a Borders. Pray that the right people stumble upon that neon green cover!

And also the Spanish edition of “Plan B” releases today. Join me in praying for all of the Spanish speaking countries and people who will have the opportunity to be impacted by the message in their own language.

I continue to be so humbled by how God is using the book to draw people closer to Him!

Thanks for your support and prayers! You guys mean the world to me.
