God’s Story, Your Story

My friend, Max Lucado, just released his 14,769th book. Okay, that might be a slight overstatement, but as usual he delivers the goods.

I don’t think there’s a better story teller out there than Max Lucado. And I know there’s nobody who’s as humble about their giftedness, except for maybe on the golf course where he’s been known to take advantage of a young authors nervousness to absolutely crush them…but I digress.

In his new book Max talks about how God is above and around us directing a grand saga, written by his hand, orchestrated by His will, unveiled according to his calendar. And you’re a part of it!! In this book he helps us understand how all the seemingly random events of our life are actually part of a cohesive story line. So maybe, just maybe, there’s a purpose to the chaos, confusion and clutter of your daily life.

I’m excited to be giving away 5 copies of “God’s Story, Your Story” here on the blog today. Just leave me a quick comment and I’ll randomly select 5 winners. You’re going to LOVE this book.

  38. Jam Quintanes October 26, 2011 at 10:31 am #

Indeed, the single most unexpected and seemingly insignificant detail in your life is part of a bigger picture. You will only get to discover that once God’s timeline executes another chapter of your life. Everything in our life has a purpose and it is connected to a bigger plan and purpose. To God be the glory!

  51. David October 26, 2011 at 10:51 am #

Funny, I was feeling up to my neck in chaos today. If there is a way to cynically click on a link that’s wht I did when I saw your tweet that “it was my lucky day”. Who knows, maybe this will be the turning point in my day! Can’t wait to check out another of Max’s books. I love reading “In Case You Ever Wonder” to my little girl.

  52. Melanie October 26, 2011 at 10:52 am #

Health issues have taken me, not only to Plan B… but I think I’m on Plan F or G by now! Through each change and loss, I know God’s plan is big and surrounds me. I often pray for patient endurance. I think this book would be a nice way to remind myself of God’s great hand and in doing so, would also strengthen my endurance. Please enter me in the drawing. Thanks!
