There’s a great new resource out there for churches and pastors called Ministry Matters. Their site is full of all kinds of tools including blogs, articles, message illustrations, and worship resources. They truly are a one-stop shop full of all kinds of ministry helps. I shot several videos for them recently including “How I Prepare My Messages,” “Using Social Media To Call People To Action” and “The Importance Of Having Close Friends In Ministry.”
But there’s one video I just had to share with you today.
The question I was asked was, “What would you do with the time you can save using Ministry Matters.”
This insanity ensued…

Oh my gosh, I started laughing at the goats and then really laughed when you walked by juggling. Thank you for the laugh, seriously needed it this Monday morning.
Glad we could make you laugh on a Monday morning.
Well, evidently ministry matters is working cuz you do have WAY too much time on your hands to make that silly video….Just Kidding…love your sense of humor. You gotta have it! Love a pastor that is real & down to earth. Bless you guys at Crosspoint!
It’s the only thing that keep me sane sometimes.
You truly are The Great Cornholio.
Thanks for the laugh this morning.
I like to think so.
LOL! I wish I had a mini cornhole game on my desk!
Awesome, I was laughing from the start.
Also, you’re a much better juggler than I am…looks like I need to practice.
Pete,
I can teach you to crochet…:-)
Ha! I may take you up on that sometime.
You are so funny! Thanks for the Monday morning pick me up.
Love it. Love humor and ministry is a good place to have it!
LOL! The mini-cornhole game is pretty sweet.
Isn’t that cool?
This was a great, fun video to start my Monday morning! Thanks!
You should crochet a jacket for all the boys (Team Pete) when you go on your nationwide cornhole extravaganza. Will that be on ESPN 8? right after the juggling competition? That video is not safe for work – loud laughter will be emerging from cubicles all over the land. Good times!
You never cease to amaze me, Pete. If you start crocheting jackets you’ll be set for life. Unless the goats get to them. They eat everything. Might help you with your paperwork.
Thanks for the tips on juggling. I knew there was a ministry skill (probably many) that I was lacking.
Have a great week!
What fun! For added fun when raising goats, my daughter insists they must be of the “fainting” variety… Evidently with this type of goat, when they get spooked, they drop over… pass clean out! then after a very short period of time they get back up and resume their life… I understand that this is great fun to watch and will provide lots and lots of entertainment not only for you but for your boys as well…. Thanks for the laugh today… I needed it.
Those are exactly the ones I want!
You forgot whittling…
Pete, I have never met you, but honestly…this video SUMS up exactly how I picture you in person (outside of your ministry). FUNNY stuff!
Grateful for:
1. My time in Nashville this weekend with my girls.
2. My time at Cross Point with you Pete.
3a. The drive on the Natchez Trace Parkway…unbelievable.
3b. Preachers who don’t take themselves too seriously.
You win.
How about juggling goats in the garden..:)
well i am really bummed that you won’t have any time to visit the orphans in zim with me.
I have never heard of Cornhole until this moment. Thanks for expanding my horizons…and thanks for making me laugh! =)
Can you juggle watermelons? What about juggling goats? It’s worth a try. hehe
Hey Pete you mentioned you use online resources for sermon prep. If you’re willing share bro!
You don’t want a goat. Why? you ask?
They stink
They pee on everything… and poop
They knock down 8 month pregnant women and break their elbow 4 weeks from delivery. How do I know this?….. guess.
