I ran into a friend this week at the gym that I hadn’t seen in a while. She was explaining to me that she had recently broken her elbow in a biking accident. My first thought was,”I had no idea you could even break your elbow.” I mean, really? Ouch.
But then I thought, I can’t believe I’ve lived well over three decades on this earth and I’ve never broken a single bone on my body.
Anyway, I thought it would be fun if we played the “I’ve Never” game. It’s super easy and a great way for you to get to know this community a little better. Just tell us one thing you’ve never done.

I have you beat, I have been hanging out for better part of 5 decades, and have never broken a bone. Recently severed 3 quad muscles, but didn’t break any bones! yes, it hurt… a lot!!!

I have never read the classics. Moby Dick, Catcher in the Rye, Where the Red Fern Grows, Tom Sawyer?, etc. Funny how they never were assigned in school.

This is probably not the ‘one thing’ kind of thing you are looking for but here goes:
“I have never stopped thanking God every day for allowing me to be held hostage with a gun to my head when I was just 16.”
I have never had stress about it. It just happened. God has used that to make me a strong person & from that experience, I have been able to go through things (medically) that would mentally or spiritually devastated another person who hadn’t been able to be toughened up first.
I am just so thankful for each day that I wake up that there is not one time I think, “Oh gee I have never done….” But if I had to think of one,(other than the above), it would be…

I’ve never traveled outside the U.S. – but all that is planned to change the last week of September as I travel to Guatemala City on a Mission Trip with a great group from Stonecreek Church (Milton, GA)! Very excited about this.
I’m proud to say that I’ve never eaten a McDonald’s chicken nugget.
Unfortunately, I’ve broken my elbow. It hurts, really bad.
Our “nevers” are very similar. I’ve never done any of those things, either. I’ve also never traveled outside of the United States (hoping to fix this soon!), never had blood drawn, never gotten in any sort of trouble with the law (speeding tickets included), and never spent a experienced a true fall season (no leaves changing color here…God bless South Louisiana).
I have never had to perform CPR on a human being, only a dummy. I hope to keep it that way.
