Someone asked me the other day why I don’t like to travel. They said, “With your adventurous spirit I thought you would love hopping around from city to city.”
There was probably a day I enjoyed traveling more than I do now.
Because now, no matter how beautiful the city, how exciting the conference, how warm the weather, I hate not being at home to hear stories like this.

Totally worth staying home–you can’t get these days back! He’s a doll!
Savor, savor, savor! Those days fly by! Parenting is a high calling…
So agree.
Precious!
I am so glad even though you have to travel for your CALLING that God gives you these precious moments of times with your sons and wife. Hands down it’s apparent that your family and most of all your marriage is second below to your relationship with God. We call that in our church, God being #1 AND our spouse #2.
You, Crosspoint, have been on my heart all week. I really have a feeling that there is a turning point or maybe you’re on the cusp of something in the next few months, I am committing to pray for this for the next 30 days. I just feel it so deeply in my heart and bones, know that God is changing Crosspoint, You, Brandi, and your boys because you chose first what matters more.
Thank you so much Heidi.
Enjoy the times you have at home because the memories will define in part your journey together. Enjoy the times you have apart because you will enrich your family with the stories of others. Blessings, Mary
No trip can match that! : ) That boy’s got some mad story-telling skills!
Gage is too cute.
I so understand why you rather be home *smile*
Nothing compares to moments like these.
<3 <3 <3 glad they didn't have to search TOooooOOOOO hard for that sneeze projectiled tooth =)
In the job I held before moving to Nashville to be near my family, I honestly had ‘friends’ in every airport imaginable and even was on a first-name basis with flight attendants on three airlines. I finally told myself, ‘you’re 30, you’re single, and your housekeeper is in your house way more than you are – nothing will ever change if you don’t.’ It was always amazing for me to hear how jealous people would be of that crazy lifestyle when I was ready to give anything to get out of it.
No doubt!!
Oh those days of losing teeth are truly precious. You don’t often think so at the time. Your wallet starts feeling the squeeze when you have three kids losing teeth at the same time… and inflation keeps upping the amount that each of those suckers is worth. LOL…
My kids are all past that stage now. 21, 19 and 15. I remember though, I remember.
Oh, he is just such a cutie!! My hubbie had to travel a lot in the last year and he says the same thing. When you travel, you just miss out on real life with the ones you love the most. Glad you were home for that amazing story
I don’t know why, but that made me cry.
He’s SO you! I’m glad you were home to hear this story.
He’s a special boy!
This video brought tears to my eyes…I loved it! Thank you for sharing! It is so difficult to leave with life happening with the amazing beings that God has placed in our care for a brief moment in time! I know Tom deals with this too…Thank goodness for skype, and texting and phones! Catch up time is a beautiful thing…Tom’s big thing, when he get’s home from a trip, is making his big “candelight” breakfasts for our brood…pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage etc, and major catch up happening at that breakfast table. It’s a beautiful thing…
Loved the story, but also loved seeing Brewer on the couch completely unphased by the video and story being told!
The Brewster cracks me up! He was so focused on the Ipad.
