Timeout
My last 3 weeks of traveling and speaking have been crazy. This has meant I’ve spent most of my time communicating with Brandi via text messages when time would allow.
I love texting but it’s a sorry excuse for the real thing.
Yesterday afternoon I took a break from my message prep (I’m speaking this morning at the Radicalis Conference here at Saddleback Church around 10:30 PST. You can watch live HERE) and we headed to Laguna Beach.
So thankful for a few hours away from it all to recalibrate, renew, and just remind ourselves of how blessed we are.
Tom travels a lot, and texting, skype and phone chats are vital to keep communication and connection, but I totally agree, TIMEOUT’s are VITAL! I cherish my time with my husband, who after 20+ years of marriage, he is still my best friend! It helps me to be a better mom, wife, and person. You give so much to so many, with such a fast growing church, it is so nice to see that you continue to make family your priority, and keep your marriage strong. I also love that Jett is tweeting his Mom, very cool! Great pics!

By the way, we visited Laguna Beach when our family had the opportunity to travel to CA with my husband (work conference) in 2009. It is so beautiful, and I’m so glad you got to spend some quality time with your wife there! Great pics and memories!
