My Favorite Author

There’s a lot of authors I like.

Max Lucado

John Ortberg

Tim Keller

Scot McKnight

are just a few of my favorites.

But there’s one that stands out above all the rest.

His first work was published just this week in his 3rd grade class. Yesterday, I got the incredible honor and privilege of attending the first public reading of some of his work.

I introduce to you, author, Jett Graham Wilson.

Hope you enjoy. I know I did. :)

Awesome job Jett! I am so proud of you! Not only did you have a great story, but you looked out at the audience and read with such expression! You’re a natural!

    awwwww

what great delivery! especially cause it’s a pretty tough crowd. Hard to stay focused with all that squirming and those mysterious noises from the crowd.

    great job!

This teacher would certainly give him an A+ … both on style and delivery!

    Great story!

But I’ve actually been crab hunting. Growing up in Maryland, my father took me crab hunting at least three or four times every summer. Sometimes we used a boat and eel line, and other times we put on wading boots and carried steel dipping nets and walked through seaweed in hopes of scaring up crabs and catching them in our nets. Not kidding…

Kids got mad voice inflection and delivery skillz. Great confidence for a kid that age. I can see why he’s your favorite author.

I will look forward to Jett Graham Wilson’s book, he’s got skills. I was reading the other day about the things we say to our kids and how we choose our words’ example.”.you are so smart” can cause that child to not put forth more of an effort ( cruise control ). Bottom line was when they believed in themselves nothing is impossible. Keep going Jett!

    Jett,

I rarely respond to your dad’s blog, but could not pass this one up. You did a great job, both in the writing and in the delivery. Look out Max, John, Tim, Scot and Pete; here comes Jett. Love you and proud of you.

I take it he’s been watching his Daddy closely…he’s a very well spoken young man. :)

I like the fact he didn’t get criticized (or even given looks of “oh my gosh!”) for using “dang it!” in there! :) I like it…good stuff! He did a great job!
