Putting Plan B Into Action

Hey thanks so much guys for participating in the giveaway of Putting Plan B into Action!  We have our winners!!  ( :

I’m so excited to announce that “Putting Plan B Into Action” the DVD small group study based off of my book Plan B is officially released this week.

When I wrote this book I truly felt that it would be most helpful when read, discussed and studied in the context of community. While community doesn’t take away the pain of our shattered dreams it certainly helps us re-frame it.

There’s some really cool features like

  • Six, 12–15-minute sessions on DVD
  • A guide for working through the Plan B experience with your small group
  • DVD-ROM with printable Leader’s Guide, promotional resources, and bonus video
  • Numerous downloadable resources for church-wide alignment available online
  • Five days of personal devotions after each study.

You can go HERE to purchase the study and also download some FREE resources.

I’m going to give away 3 sets of the DVD/Participants guides here this weekend. All you have to do is retweet the post (if you’re on twitter) and leave a comment telling me about the small group you’re in or lead.

Here’s a few additional thoughts I have on the study…

I’m in a small group of (mostly) stay at home moms with young kids. I’ve been holding off doing Plan B until this came out and I’m so excited to see it’s finally here!

I’m ministry leader of our Celebrate Recovery ministry at church and we have several folks who after working through the 12-steps could benefit from a small group going through “Putting Plan B into Action”. All of us in recovery are certainly not on Plan A anymore. I loved the book and would love to use “Putting Plan B into Action” to further our groups growth.
    Retweeting this as well!

I’d love to win. I’m getting ready to start a new adventure and think these would be of great use.

We have a small group that meets at what we call G.R.O.W. or Get Renewed On Wednesday. It is a diverse group from some young couples in there twenties with kids, to us older of the group at almost forty with kids, a couple with no kids. We love eachother and growing in the word of God. This would be awesome to win this to share at our small group. In face I read and reviewed Plan B last year as I we were going through a bit of our own change in plans. Thanks for this opportunity, Pete.

I currently lead a study that have members from 23 to 68. It is a wonderful group of people with different life experiences from different decades to draw on. Sometimes the generation gap makes for some interesting discussions and perceptions of everything from the modern church to hymnals and their relevance or lack there of.

  7. jan Owen February 4, 2011 at 7:12 am #

Hi Pete! I’m hugely excited about this resource. Why didn’t you come out with it last spring??? :) You know what group I’m in. We’ve already done it but I’d love to lead this study again sometime in another context.

  8. Marc Cauthon February 4, 2011 at 7:14 am #

Recently used the Plan B book for a sermon series in our church. Would love to dive deeper into the book and use it for our small groups!

  9. Trey Rhodes February 4, 2011 at 7:15 am #

Our small group keeps an eye out to be inclusive of those we come into contact with. Our group in 6 couples and and single lady. We study the Bible, encourage one another, minister and serve one another as well as those outside our group. So many have left our plan A of life and look forward to God’s plan B. We love Sunday nights!

  10. Fran February 4, 2011 at 7:15 am #

Oh thanks Pete for picking me already!!! You are so kind to do that. Thank you. ;)

I lead a group of women in my house every Friday morning. We are a beautiful cross section of the church and every stage and “dealings” in life. This would be a perfect for our group!

Cannot wait to be a part of the study!
    Blessings,
    Fran

I lead a couple of groups at my church one for men & another mixed group. Would love for my groups to be able to benefit from Plan B like I have!

  12. Roger Craft February 4, 2011 at 7:17 am #

Great book. Our small group is made up of a wide age range. 30 somethings to 60-70 somethings

  13. @martystooksbury February 4, 2011 at 7:18 am #

We use studies to disciple people… this could be used to help those we minister to that are dealing with child illness, parents of adult children who are unresponsive to Christ at this time, families who are in trouble, we minister to alot of people struggling with addiction(cr), depression, and such. This would be used in multiple groups!! Plan B the book – bought several copies and passed them out… Keep on Bro!

  14. Janelle February 4, 2011 at 7:20 am #

This book has honestly changed my life. I have recommended it to more people then I can keep count of.
I have struggled with infertility and I have found that this book is exactly what I needed without focusing DIRECTLY on the issue of infertility. I have passed it on to other friends who have struggled with this same issue and they have been BLESSED beyond measure by Pete’s words.
I would LOVE to start a small group based around this book with women who struggle to conceive. We get so many “Mommy” and “Pregnancy” books thrown at us, when what we really need is to forget about the “infertility” part of it all and focus on the GOD part of it.
Our Plan B’s all look different, and my Plan B hurt my heart for quite a while, but I think meeting with other women and sharing our stories and concentrating on being BLESSED in our Plan B lives is exactly what we are supposed to do.
BLESSINGS Pete!!! You have had a HUGE impact on my journey!!

    (p.s. i RETWEETED this also (i am @tuckergirl) )

    • Pete Wilson February 4, 2011 at 10:39 am #

Thanks Janelle! It’s word of mouth that is helping this book get into the hands of people who really need it!!

I planted a church in Gainesville FL, River Cross Church, and I love the book. Would love to win the DVD study and use it in our small groups.

We are in a very diverse group with couples, singles, and a single father raising two children all of us have had struggle in very different ways. I think it would be a cool study to do with all of them….Thanks for all you do

I am in a small group with a group of guys from different churches across the city of Chicago. We are striving to do life together and use our talents to impact the city.

  18. Brent Guice February 4, 2011 at 7:25 am #

I lead a small group & would LOVE to go through Plan B in our group. I started the group a couple of months ago & we meet during our lunchtime at work on Mondays. Plan B would be an awesome book to take my group through. Thank you!

  19. Jenny February 4, 2011 at 7:25 am #

I’m working with an organization that does outreach for victims of Domestic Violence (http://timetofly.org). It is a 9-week course with extensive after-care follow on courses. We have had hundreds of women come through the program all asking similar questions to what you address in Plan B. Would love to get a copy of this to have as a resource and a tool in working with the women. Retweeting now :)

  20. Gary Durbin February 4, 2011 at 7:26 am #

This would be great for Bible studies I lead at my church.

  21. Jessi February 4, 2011 at 7:26 am #

I lead a small group of college students, and I think this would be a great resource/study for them. I’ve read the book and loved it so I’m looking forward to it having a study to go along with it.

  22. Lis February 4, 2011 at 7:27 am #

I would love this. Currently, I just start a small group for women–specifically wives and mothers. God really put it on my heart to do this, seeing the church not effectively disciple these women. What I noticed is that often how we feel about certain situations in our homes (especially marriage) comes from “dreams” that did not turn out the way we hoped. Right now, my focus is what does the Bible say about being a Godly wife (women), but I think this would be a GREAT study to dive into after!

    I retweeted!

  23. Wanda Simpson February 4, 2011 at 7:28 am #

Our church is on the verge of something big. This study will help us grow and bring others along with us. Our small groups are growing and Plan B might be the thing for everybody!

    Thanks for the opportunity!

  24. Heidi February 4, 2011 at 7:28 am #

I lead a group from 15-21. It’s an amazing group! I am leading with my husband and that has been more inspirational than anything else. A growing experience.

Our group varies in age, background and that makes it exciting.

Yes, I retweeted and FB too…

  25. Amy February 4, 2011 at 7:29 am #

I would love to win this! Would be great to do this with our small group!

  26. Aaron February 4, 2011 at 7:30 am #

Retweeted, and DUDE, I LOVE your book. I’ve been a part of a great group at my church. As part of the staff, I didn’t really want to be a part of another thing that would take up my time. Once I got into the group though, I got to know several families quite well, and it’s really served as a great support for me and my wife. Small groups ROCK!

  27. PlanBUs February 4, 2011 at 7:31 am #

Everyone in my small group is on at least Plan B including:

    - A friend whose wife is an alcoholic and will soon be out of rehab.
    - A friend with a teenage adopted daughter who struggles tremendously with wounds from her past.
    - A friend who just found a job after almost a year of unemployment.
    - At least three of us are introverts who struggle with fitting into an extroverted evangelical community.
    - I just found out my company is closing our office and I’ll be out of a job at the end of the year.

    • Pete Wilson February 4, 2011 at 10:40 am #

Oh wow. I’ve got a feeling God is about to do some huge things in the midst of your group!!

  28. Franchesca February 4, 2011 at 7:33 am #

Checking out Plan B now…ready for a new study for on-line group of women.

  29. Sami Cone February 4, 2011 at 7:34 am #

    Excited for you, Pete!
We mentor a group of newly married couples in our home as well as leading a small group of marrieds with young kids at Crosspoint. Thanks for being a transparent example of the never-ending grace of God!

I meet with a couple of guys on Sunday evenings and we are currently going through the Love Dare. I have been meeting with them for about 4 years now.

  31. Dave February 4, 2011 at 7:35 am #

Would love to use this on our small group.
We’re a little band of 20 – 30 somethings digging into the Word and life together as the core of the next generation in a small church where we don’t always feel that we fit.

  32. calvin February 4, 2011 at 7:35 am #

just started a new small group for young marrieds. most have been married 5 years or less, some with two children and others with none.

  33. dan February 4, 2011 at 7:37 am #

The group I lead is mostly young married couples, with the exception of a few who have kids. And we’re probably about multiply into 2 groups.

  34. Jennifer Warren February 4, 2011 at 7:39 am #

My husband, Bryan leads a small group for our small church. We average 12 people in small group attendance out of around 35-40 members in our church. We both read plan B and actually created a small group study using a simple power point for visuals for the small group that he leads. There is another small group that meets mid-week that hasn’t seen this material and we’d love to share it with them. Plan B is really good stuff.

Bryan is continually looking for fresh ideas and this would be an awesome opportunity for him to share with the other group leader and for your material to bless others in our community.

Thanks for selecting us to win!!

  35. Adam February 4, 2011 at 7:41 am #

I’m doing a study through Galatians right now. I love my group! @waters_edger

  36. David Higgs February 4, 2011 at 7:41 am #

Our church only has a couple of off-Sunday small groups. If you include Sunday school, it’s a lot bigger of course. This book/study would be a big help to some of our people walking through very dark valleys.

  37. Candy February 4, 2011 at 7:41 am #

Our small group is 20+ women of a wide demographic. Some have dreams yet to be shattered while others are in their 4th or 5th plan B. I love this book and think my group would, too

    Hey!

I’m the college minister at my church and have a few young couples around the ministry as well.

  41. TJ February 4, 2011 at 7:44 am #

    Hey, I don’t have a Twitter account…but if I did, I would retweet. =)

I really liked your Plan B book. I get to teach in the youth group at our church, which is like teaching in a small group. Our goal with them is to help them grow by teaching them both spiritual and practical things for their lives. I think that a lot of the stuff in the book would be good for them to know, but because they have a limited amount of experience with life in general and haven’t experienced many hard things, they might not get it. (For example, we just did Dave Ramsey’s Generation Change study with them, but most of them don’t have money, and their parents buy them everything, so it was hard to get them to relate to and understand the principles of money.)

How would you prepare teenagers for the curveballs that life will throw their way? What would be a good way to present your book and teachings so that they can relate to it?

Whew! So much thinking for a Friday morning… =) Thanks for everything you’re doing! Have a great day!

    • Pete Wilson February 4, 2011 at 10:42 am #

I’ll be honest. I certainly didn’t really write the book for high school students. I think it applies really well college and up but would take some work to make it apply to those 18 and under.

I think it certainly can apply it’s just that most of the illustrations in the book are directed toward adults.

      • TJ February 4, 2011 at 5:59 pm #

Yeah, I knew that it was geared toward adults. I would just like to figure out ways to translate some of that wisdom into something that teenagers can grasp, just so they could maybe have some tools to help them when life doesn’t go as expected.

        I’ll keep thinking… =)

  42. Brock Sawyer February 4, 2011 at 7:48 am #

My wife and I lead a small group with a number of young families. Many of whom are suffering through job loss and hard times. They are struggling through their Plan B moment. They need to know God still believes in them and still has a plan for their lives. He has not forgotten us.

I’d love to share this with them in this semester which begin Feb 20. I believe this is where we are at as a group.

    Thanks!

    Brock Sawyer

I have felt so led to start a small group. Plan B is just what I am looking for. What an amazing study this would be to start off with. Thank Pete for doing the study for you book.

  44. Will February 4, 2011 at 7:49 am #

    Pete,
I pastor a smaller church in rural NW Oklahoma. I have several families, not just people that are in the middle of their Plan B. I just got your book in Kindle format last week and am reading it now. This is a great resource that I plan to use in our ministry here. Whether or not we get a free copy, we’re getting it to use in our church. Thanks for writing it and living it!!

  45. Mike February 4, 2011 at 7:53 am #

I loved the book! It’s the type of book I want to share with others.

  49. Andy February 4, 2011 at 8:00 am #

We have started a small group (6 married couples) and actually met for our first time last night. Though not started for this specific purpose, during discussion we soon realized a common theme among the group is, within the last couple of years, we have all found ourselves in situations/circumstances that have not worked out quite like we hoped/planned/prayed they would. Though all are strong in our faith, these situations have left us wondering, “What was THAT all about?” When discussing possible curriculum to use, the Plan B study was a popular option, though we weren’t sure when it was going to be available. I would love to be able to share with them next week that the study was now available AND that we had been chosen to receive a complimentary DVD/Particpant’s set of materials. Thanks for consideration AND for making this study available.

Pete, love the book. I see how appropriate this study would be for the men’s group that I lead…unsurprisingly there is a lot of hurt and feelings of failure that people bring to the table.

Looking forward to checking out this study. Plan on pushing it out to other small groups at NPC as well.

  51. Justin bindel February 4, 2011 at 8:07 am #

    Pete,
Thanks for the great resource! I am the senior high pastor at first baptist Wichita falls Texas and we are always looking for great curriculum! We use video curriculum and then use table groups as a way to enter into discussion!

Best.book.ever at least what I have read so far this year. I am stuck in chapter 7 & 8. Your writings are hitting home. Literally. Wow….and thank you for putting your thoughts on paper. Just the book alone is a great resource. I would imagine the “action” pack would be packed full of God’s awesomeness.

  58. Rachel Eyre February 4, 2011 at 8:35 am #

Every year, during baseball season, all of us baseball wives get together weekly for bible study. This year, I will be with a new team of women. I look forward to using this as I LOVE the book! I have bought many copies of this for friends that needed to read your message!

Hi Pete! Loved the book Plan B. I lead a small group that calls ourselves “Geeks and Those Who Love Them”. We’re currently going through Financial Peace University together, and do enjoy doing DVD-based studies :) — Larry

  60. Hollie February 4, 2011 at 8:37 am #

Pete – I’m so excited that you’ve come out with a small group study guide! I’m in the middle of PlanB & loving it! I’ve already got 2 of my friends who live in different states reading it & we’re going to be discussing it online. My small group is young married couples who are all on different journeys – yet learning from each other & loving each other through it. I have an amazing support system in them. They prayed us back home (long story)! My Plan B moment was realizing that I was not going to birth my own child, but God us brought us to adoption & now we’re starting that journey. The Haiti earthquake shook my world & now we’re planning to go on a mission trip to Haiti in May. The last few years have been a rollercoaster ride, but God is good & faithful! Your PlanB book has helped me cope & been an encouragement to me! Thank you for writing it! God Bless you & your ministry & family!!

  61. Elena February 4, 2011 at 8:43 am #

Our church us just getting into the small group thing. I am currently leading a small group for parents of young children. It’s going well. We are mostly a fellowship group at this point but small DVD snippets leading to discussion is exactly the type if study/book we’d be looking for.

  62. John February 4, 2011 at 8:44 am #

Been hearing tons about your book. I’m leading a group of young couples, many of whom are going through various forms of transition and change. This study would definitely be timely! Thanks for the generosity!

  63. Dean Mellen February 4, 2011 at 8:46 am #

I lead a small group in which two of the members have lost their jobs, and are looking at understanding why, and what to do next. Plan B would be an excellent study for us to do as we grapple with how we can come along side them and support them as much as we can. We continue to love on them as they go through this soul-searching process. Thank you for the chance to get a DVD copy of the study. It will be put to good use in our group.

    Looks like a great resource!
I head up a ministry to college students here in Illinois, and do a lot of missions work with youth and young adults in the Czech Republic. I have actually given some of the students your Plan B book, as they were going through difficult situations.

    Thanks Pete!

I am currently leading a small group with teen girls and I am also in a group of ladies studying Made to Crave. But I would love our launch team (core) to do this study together as we move toward our launch date in September:) This is an amazing book!

  73. Melinda Whitley February 4, 2011 at 9:18 am #

Hi! I am a senior in college, leading a small group study on Plan B at Radford University this semester. After reading your book recently, I was convinced that this is a message that my campus really needs. RU has a reputation of being a “party school”, so we’ve been praying that God will move and do huge things this semester. I really think one way this will happen is by Him using our Plan B study group each week! :)

Our first Plan B meeting was actually last Wednesday night, and we had around 13 people, plus at least 6 or 8 more that couldn’t make it due to previous commitments! We’re all super excited about the way God is going to move and work in our hearts and on our campus through this study! We’re meeting again next Wednesday evening, and are already getting psyched to grow in God together!

I would absolutely LOVE to get this DVD set for my Plan B group!! So excited and thankful you’ve put out this resource!
Plan B has already been such a blessing!!

    • Pete Wilson February 4, 2011 at 10:37 am #

That’s so cool Melinda. Thanks for doing that.

  74. Andrea Worley February 4, 2011 at 9:27 am #

I would love to get this resource, and help lead it in our college small group setting. Reading Plan B helped change me so much and it was def. what God used in my life almost a year ago.

  75. Jill Jackson February 4, 2011 at 9:31 am #

Really looking forward to this study

  76. John Bowersox February 4, 2011 at 9:33 am #

This is great news! I’ve been wanting to use Plan B in our small group for a while, but wanted some additional resources beyond just the book. I’m currently facilitating Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University, but this would be great to start when we finish up in March.

  77. Kevin February 4, 2011 at 9:36 am #

    Hi Pete,

I am a small group leader going through your book. We’ve had some great discussions. Would love to have the small group materials. They would be extremely helpful.

We have just started a small group for men–I think that this would be helpful for them (and me).

The small group from our church that my husband and I host has been reading and discussing Plan B for several months now and it has been invaluable. Great conversations about the ideas, and practical advice on how to handle the Plan Bs of our lives. And it’s interesting that everyone in the group seems to have experienced a Plan B recently. Thank you for a wonderful resource! We’ve recommended it to so many people. (I just tweeted the link from authordebraney.)

Retweeted — we’re preaching a series about Plan B in a few weeks and would be great to have the small group resources as a follow up…thanks Pete…

Our small group has many couples living out Plan B right now, either through marriage issues, pregnancy and miscarriage, and job issues. We attend a plant church in a small town in north Florida. God is clearly working. We meet in a skating rink and we are about to offer two services because the crowds are so big. I appreciate all you do and follow your blog regularly after I was given your book last fall. We would love to have this curriculum. Thank you for all you do!

Pete, I lead a group from NewSpring church. We have 10-12 guys in the group. Most of us are divorced and would benefit greatly from this study. Thanks for all you do. We enjoyed your message at our church last summer! I know this resource would be a hit with my guys.

I am living near a group of women that I had the pleasure of growing up with. We love to sporadically get together one night every week, and I think this would be the perfect excuse to make it official. I love this group of women so much, and we have such a bond. Strengthening our bond through studying a tool for God’s Word would be fabulous!

At my church in Santa Rosa, CA, I’m currently in a small group where we’re doing the God: As He Longs for You to See Him study by Chip Ingram.

Wow! I’d love to win this! Our church budget is very tight – and I just took on the role of WM Director, but my husband also works with our small groups. I”d love to see this used in some way at our church.

My own personal small group is wonderful – a group of leaders – but I know one already has your book and is planning on reading it and passing to me when she’s done.

How very exciting to get this into small group format!!! Love it! Off to tweet!

  87. Marni February 4, 2011 at 10:53 am #

    Love it!

The group lead isn’t really a “small group” – but more of a support group (Celebrate recovery). However, I believe this could be a great follow-up to the program once someone has completed it.

This group of people that coming looking to find healing in their shattered lives, are finding just that. It is a beautiful thing to see people open up, confess and start trusting others and God with their brokenness so as to find that healing. It brings tears of joy to my eyes, and has me on my knees constantly thanking God for programs and ministries like this.

Hey Pete! I just started a new 18-20 somethings small group here in Sonoma County CA where 96% of people are unchurched. I attend a North Point Strategic Partner church called New Vintage and would love to do the Plan B study. http://www.newvintage.org

I am a total retweet idiot so actually had to do it the old fashion cut and paste method. Hoping everyone will still be able to see the dvd series.

I have been in a number of what our church calls homgroups. My favorite was one that just ended recently. We had been together for about 2 years and altough we understood why we needed to dissolve, none of us really wanted to. We had become a true family to each other. We had gone through illnesses, loss, moving and a variety of other circumstances knowing that we were all there for each other. I still call the members of the group my “homegroup peeps” and value the continued relationships that we have with those who were in that group with us.

    Hey Pete.

    This is some awesome news.

    1) The book is awesome, and needs to be in a study form.

    2) My wife and I are in the process of executing and implementing/starting our first Life Group. It’s something that has been on our hearts and minds for a long time. Funny enough, it was on mine first, and for a while. The cool things has been seeing God show and reveal to my wife that this is what we are to do.

Whether I win this or not, I do plan (HA HA) on using it in our Life Group.

I’m in a small group of young adults in Indianapolis. Love your book and would love to share the DVD with my small group. Many of us are just starting out life on our own and things haven’t gone as we planned, but God has a greater plan for us (what we think is Plan B is really God’s Plan A). Our mission is to learn from the word, love in community, and live out the gospel.

This is awesome! I would love to get a copy of this for my small group!

  93. Cathy February 4, 2011 at 1:34 pm #

I’m living a Plan B life and loving it! God has put me in an amazing small group, with several other people who have exhausted or failed at their own plans, to finally turn to God’s plan and find joy in living in the center of God’s will. My small group is an amazing place where we can be honest about our failures and broken dreams and journey together on the amazing new path we have found. A little over two years ago I heard (or read) Jeremiah 29:11 for the first time. That was about two weeks before I found myself on the amazing journey I’m on now.
(wow, how many times can I say “amazing” in one comment? What can I say… I serve an AMAZING God who has done AMAZING things in my life and I’m in awe of that!)

    Blessings to you!
    Cathy

Hey Pete … I am in a Married couples group. We meet every other Sunday after Church at the leader house. We are going through the workbook “Laugh your way to a better marriage.” I am also in a Men’s group with over 150 men that meet every Tuesday night. Great teachings, and awesome to get together with like minded men of all kinds.

I leads a couple of small groups in New Hampshire… there are many people at our church who have come to the church and to Christ via the Divorce Care support group — So “Plan B” sounds like a tremendous resource for them/us!! I went through a divorce and job loss within the past year too… Your resources would be a huge blessing to us. Thank you and may God bless and multiply your efforts for His glory!!

Recently launched a men’s ministry. Looking for a new idea on keeping small Men’s group going. Looks interesting.

I have read and love this book. I am a co-leader of a 20′s and 30′s Sunday School as well as a Mens small group leader for Celebrate recovery. Plan B is an amazing concept and useful tool. I can’t wait to see what a DVD version will be like…

  99. Juli February 4, 2011 at 3:38 pm #

I lead a group of amazing women in their 20′s and 30s. Mostly single, but one is married. We have been together for 3 yrs as a group, and the journey has been amazing. I’ve seen 2 women baptized in that time. We do a wide range of book, dvd and bible studies.

  100. Dustin Bilbrey February 4, 2011 at 3:47 pm #

We are a small growing church that has been blessed by this book and are starting small groups in February and this would be very helpful for us because we are limited on financial resources. Thanks!

I am in a marriage small group that meets on Wednesday evenings. This has been an awesome way for my wife and I to connect in ways we never really knew existed. Also Sunday mornings we are in a Sunday School Class for Young Adults. It is geared towards those in their late 20′s and 30′s. My friend leads that class and was just asking me for ideas on the next series to teach and this would be perfect!!!!

My husband and I planted a church about 3 1/2 years ago. We host a small group in our home. We do a SERVE together once a month, we go out to eat together once a month, and we do a study together twice a month.

  103. Sheryl February 4, 2011 at 4:09 pm #

Plan B should be required reading for everyone because we will all be there at some point. I’ve bought, read, recommended and given Plan B away so many times I lost count.

This semester, I’m in “The Blood Covenant” about seeing Jesus in the OT and NT through covenant! — I also help with a group for middle school and high school students dealing with “life issues!”

  105. JohnR February 4, 2011 at 4:33 pm #

I’m very excited to see this study out. I’ve already given my copy of the book away and have recommended it to others.

My wife and I just began to host a home group, and would love to work through this together. We have 2 newly divorced ladies and two guys that are out of work that I know would greatly benefit from this study.

  106. Deborah Pumarejo February 4, 2011 at 4:39 pm #

My husband and I just started a small group in our home three weeks ago. We love it!! Each week our new group gets tighter as friendships are being forged. The way my husband and I are able to work and study God’s word has brought us even closer than before. We are truly blessed by an awesome God!

  107. Dan Brubacher February 4, 2011 at 4:53 pm #

I am a small group pastor, and we are in a great small group that we started last year and have since handed off the leadership to one of the other couples. We are all in our early to mid-30s and are seeking to grow in Christ and support one another through this season of life (young kids). It is awesome!

    P.S. I tweeted about the offer: @danbrubacher

  108. Chris February 4, 2011 at 5:02 pm #

I’m the new pastor of a church that is 80+ years old. Over the course of those 80 years, they’ve had their highs and lows, and are currently at a huge low. Our community is one of low income and high unemployment. I think they’re on Plan Y; “Y not try out this guy?” Thanks for the opportunity.

  109. Erica Mair February 4, 2011 at 6:14 pm #

Hey Pete! So, I have recently moved and started attending this church which doesn’t have small groups. So, I know the pastor and I wanted to talk to him about maybe starting one up myself. I have been thinking about what to study and I am excited to hear you are doing this! Plan B was such a great book to read especially in my life right now and I even passed it along to my friend after I finished it who also benefited from it. I would love to use this study to start up small groups in this church.

  110. Leah Forde February 4, 2011 at 6:29 pm #

Currently my husband and I are not a part of a specific small group but we have developed a friendship community that is centered around our commonality, which is our faith in Christ. This study would be such a valuable resource to connect us all closer to Christ and help us all understand why and how to live in our plan B’s.

  111. Matt February 4, 2011 at 7:15 pm #

We are in a small group with Harpeth Community in Franklin. We would love to have some new material to study. Thanks for your encouraging thoughts!

  112. Allison D February 4, 2011 at 9:27 pm #

Our small group is full of wonderful loving people, from several churches, trying to figure out life with chronic pain afflictions and toddlers. We really ARE living Plan B. This would be awesome for us!!!!

I am in a small group made up of couples that have been married more than 15 yrs, or are on their second (or 3rd) marriage. We have been together for 1 1/2 yrs but still are not really a tight knit group…praying that happens in God’s time!

  114. Angel S. February 4, 2011 at 10:19 pm #

I have been involved in a Women’s Bible Study. I really want to start a couple study. I know several couples who are mid-Plan B. This would be perfect!

I lead a small group Bible study for college girls. We’re at a new church, but I took a group of girls through it this past summer without the curriculum…and they loved it! I’m sure the videos and discussion questions will add so much more! Can’t wait to take my new group through it!

  116. KH February 5, 2011 at 10:16 am #

Single Moms group, which included planning/organizing/purchasing for/decorating for Single Moms’ Valentine’s Day banquet…so fun! Moms treated to pampering of dinner served to them by male volunteers from the church, along with fun gifts, door prizes, and then childcare provided as the group moves in to a time of worship, and then hearing a Christian speaker whose story hopefully blesses, strengthens and inspires them.

  117. monte February 5, 2011 at 7:25 pm #

Our small group @ Fellowship Church in DFW has had plenty of plan B’s the past few years but we’ve learned that change leads to growth! We’d love to learn what you have to say about this topic.

  118. John Howard February 6, 2011 at 4:16 pm #

i lead a group of associate pastors for our denomination at the conference level. We meet monthly to discuss ministry and personal development topics. We are starting your book Plan B and would love to have this resource to supplement our study.
