Top 5 Posts For 2010

Well, I thought it would be a fitting way to wind up the year by going back and revisiting a few posts from the past 12 months. I went back to my stats and just pulled the top 5 most viewed posts. I don’t think these are necessarily the top 5 best posts or even the top 5 most important posts but according to the stats these posts, for whatever reason, struck a cord with you or someone else.

What’s interesting looking back over these posts is how many of them capture the highs and lows of this past year. It was a crazy year for our family. From releasing my first book, to Cross Point being launched into the national spotlight as we tried to serve our community during the flood, to going back to India, to ending up in a Taylor Swift video that was shown around the world.

This is what’s so exciting about going into a new year. You just never know.

Who knows how God is going to use The Wilsons in 2011?

Who knows how God is going to use you in 2011?

Can’t wait to see!!

5. Plan B Promo Video Released

This was the first post (of many) where I talked about the release of the book as well as included the promo video.

4. Plodding Visionaries

An honest post about the frustrations and challenges of leading a church.

3. Day 1 Of Nashville Flood

It gives me chills to go back and look at this post. Had no idea at that moment how God was going to work through Cross Point over the course of that week.

2. Bored?

This was a post I wrote in the middle of very frustrating day. One of those days where I was temporarily embarrassed to call myself a Christian.

1. The Wilson World Premier

The post announcing that rumors were true and my family was going to be appearing in the world premier of Taylor Swift’s new video.

I appreciate the breadth of subjects addressed in the posts; from natural disasters, to book releases, to pastoral frustrations. In essence, they cover LIFE – just the way it is.

And yet, in the midst of life we are confident that God is always with us. Looking back we see His hand, guiding, leading, and directing us; through the good, the bad, and the ugly.

    Bring on 2011!

Continued blessings in the New Year!

I love that a blog including Taylor Swift is #1. ;)

Over the past several months that I’ve read Without Wax, I feel refreshed and challenged. I love being able to process your messages each week at CP as well as the variety of topics you cover here. My mind has expanded out of the box it was in. Thanks!!

Happy New Year Pete and to the rest of your family!! :)

I love your blogs, but I also love the message that God gives you each week to send on to us at Crosspoint. So many times this year, my small group thought you must be reading our material, or you had something profound you said, that captured these ladies in the group, as well as me. I was amazed at how God reaches down so personal to each one of us, in His own sweet way. Thanks for letting that light shine, even on those days you feel like you have nothing but frustration. I love the way God uses you. We are so blessed to have you as our pastor, and friend.

Ah…the Taylor Swift video. I can’t hear that song without picturing the video in my head and thinking I never want to get on Brandi’s bad side.

It was definitely a year of ups and downs.
But one of my ups was finding your blogs. They were entertaining, challenging, thought provoking and/or downright funny … and I loved them.
So, thanks for posting them and I’ll be here in 2011 for sure!

Have a very blessed and wonderful New Year, Wilson family!
