Sustained Life Change
I am so excited for our Cross Point small groups ministry. Yesterday we saw hundreds of people at all of our campuses join a community group for the first time. At our Bellevue campus alone I heard 281 people signed up for a group for the first time. Amazing!
Few things make me as excited as watching people take that step. We’ve always said we would never judge success at CP by how many people we lined up in rows, but by how many people we could circle up in homes knowing this is the environment for sustained life change.
Thanks to each one of you who took that step to get in a group and a HUGE thank you to those of you who stepped up to lead a group!
If you’re interested in keeping up with the Community Group ministry here at Cross Point then follow their new blog. It’s called Continue The Conversation. It’s full of great information as well as training for leaders. You can also follow them on twitter HERE.

I’m so excited for everyone who signed up to lead or join. My community group is approaching our 4th anniversary together. At this point, I could not imagine doing life without this awesome group of woman. Congrats to all.
That is amazing. The hardest thing to do is take the first step. I’ll be praying for all of those.
Thanks Michael.
I love the idea of home groups… especially since it gets people to ‘do church’ in their communities.
I am curious as to how Cross Point qualifies those who will lead a small group.
I agree with Michael – it is very hard to take that first step. So I’d like to say well done to those who signed up and go to the small groups!
P.S. I don’t know why it’s showing my last blog as what it says. I updated it a bit ago, so there is a newer post.
Praise God for this success! I love your outlook – viewing success by how lives are changed by Christ, not by how many people walk through the door or say a single prayer. Great reminder to us all!
Yesterday was such a powerful day at Cross Point. I am one of the leader’s of the young adult group (“Stretch”) and we are now well over 150 people. It’s unbelievable seeing God move in hearts and having people actually respond.
I remember the last CG kick-off at the beginning of the year, and how much I knew I needed more than just Sunday sermons. I literally cannot imagine my life here in Nashville w/o my group now.
Biblical community is real. And it’s life changing.
It’s mind blowing how many people joined a community group yesterday! 1000+?! WOO! I know that being apart of Stretch (young adults) has been one of the best experiences of my life so far. I find that I’m challenged, loved, and safe in my walk with Christ. These people have “stretched” my heart to a capacity I didn’t know existed when it comes to serving and each day with them my desire grows stronger.
I stole one of the articles from that web page for my church’s life groups. Thanks for sharing!!!
Thanks for posting this. My own church is in the middle of completely revamping our approach to spiritual formation and discipleship. I will be praying for you guys and gleaning from your church’s experiences. Peace, bro.
Very good on sustaining the change of life. This is really inspiring.
