I’m up in Canada for a few days promoting Plan B.
Yesterday I had the opportunity to tape a couple episodes of “It’s A New Day” which will be airing nationally in Canada very soon. I absolutely loved Winnipeg. It was so beautiful and the high yesterday was 74! Can’t beat that in August. Praying I never have to visit in January, unless I’m wearing skis!
Last night I flew into Toronto and today I’m going to be live on 100 Huntley Street. Then around 11 I’ll be at the Family Christian Bookstore. If you’re local come by and visit. I’d love to meet some of my Canadian friends.

Welcome, welcome!!!!!!!!!
Welcome to Candada! You’ll have to venture to Atlantic Canada some time – just like Regis & Kelly did
When I lived in Duluth, MN I used to love driving up the edges of the lake to Thunder Bay, ON. I used to go see the Thunder Bay Whiskey Jacks play baseball. Always enjoyed my Canadian trips.
Have fun, Pete! Hope you get writer’s cramps from all the signings!
Take off! To the Great White North!
Take off! It’s a beauty way to go.
Are you old enough to remember Bob and Doug McKenzie, eh?
Take off Hoser!
I’d kiss you if I didn’t have puke breath..
Welcome to Canada! Be sure to enjoy some Tim Horton’s!
Be sure to let us know if you’re ever in the Vancouver area!
It is 74 in Canada? Dude, I hate to break the news but they use the metric system, so that is like 165 in Nashville degrees.
I have had fun trying to use the metric system!
So glad you’re enjoying our country Pete. Ditto the Tim Horton’s thing….and if you’re looking for a Steak House, try the Keg. Very nicely done and only in Canada.
Enjoy the weather!
Have a wonderful trip..
Watched you on 100 Huntley Street this morning! Welcome to Canada, and yes, you’ll have to make it to the Vancouver area one day.
Thanks for watching Jenn! I had a blast on the show.
Enjoy the weather…it’s nasty here.
My daughter is moving to Winnipeg in Sept. It’s often called “Winterpeg”!Enjoy your stay! Come to Halifax sometime!!
my husband and i grew up in different border states, but each very close to Canada. i miss being able to go there and just hanging out for the day! enjoy it
and i agree…. make sure you go to Tim Hortons!
Hope you had a good trip up north! Kinda jealous of the temps…
You did a great job on the show. Some guests don’t fit well their ‘Friday format’ — we often cringe while watching — but I was actually quite pleased to hear you were going to be on Full Circle.
For Pete’s U.S. readers, think a Christian version of The View. Can’t think of a better guy to be their guest!

I was really disappointed I missed you at Family Christian Bookstore… I was there the day before but alas (isn’t alas a great word?), we were out of town for my brother-in-law’s wedding.
I had planned to come to the bookstore to see you and have you sign my book ~ which incidentally I just loved ~ I ended up having to visit my dad out of town, planned to be back to see you ~ got caught in traffic……I was soooo disappointed…I even had a big bag of chip nuts to give you…Will you come back soon, pleeeeeease?
BUMMER!!! I listen to your podcasts all the time AND read your blog AND tell my friends all about your style of church. I live in Winnipeg and JUST read now that you were here!!!!!! That’s what summer holidays does to one’s internet activity. I hope you had a good time in our fair city! Looking forward to watching you on Its A New Day. Blessing from Winnipeg
That was really phenomenal. I hope that your book blesses a lot of people and I applaud you for trying to be so authentic. I feel the same way and may pay that price…but it’s who I am. God created me to be “real” and I just can’t live any other way.
