Nashville Flood Cleanup Continues

NASHVILLE FLOOD: Volunteer Highlight from Cross Point Church on Vimeo.

I might be even more proud of our Cross Point volunteers this week than last week. Last week we were running on pure adrenaline. This week the people serving are doing so out of pure commitment.

While a lot of the “sexy” clean up is over there is still so much work needed to be done. The hurting people of Nashville need our help.

Here are two immediate serving opportunities if you’re interested.

You can meet this morning at the Cross Point Nashville campus at 9am, or really anytime in the morning, and we’ll send you out with a team.

Then on Saturday we’re partnering with Way FM to impact our city. If you’re interested in helping with flood relief just meet us at the Cross Point Bellevue campus at 9 AM. Last week we had 1,600 volunteers come out and this weekend I’m again praying for 2000!

I continue to be blown away with the unique opportunities we believe God is giving us to make a difference here in Nashville. Thanks for your relentless help.

If you know of anyone who still needs assistance have them email us at help@crosspoint.tv.

    That’s awesome…

So sad I’m out of town this weekend for a wedding or I’d be there.

I only know about Cross Point from your blog and the church’s website, but I am so proud of you guys for living out the Gospel like this. I have been telling everyone in Raleigh about you. Just wish we were close enough to drive over and pitch in for a day. I am praying for you at least. Be blessed.

Can I just say how awesome it is to ‘watch’ from afar as y’all are the hands and feet of Jesus in a city that I dearly love! THANK YOU, CROSSPOINT!

    That is an awesome video!
I forget the ladies name that Ryan took us to see, but she said this…

“The only time I got emotional was when I saw the group from Cross Point pull up at our house, I knew why they were here, that’s what Cross Point does.”

    What a great reputation!

So amazed when I see God’s people rise to the challenge of helping the community! It is really easy to just throw $$ at a situation like this and not actually BE the hands and feet! I wish I could have been there to join in! Thanks for the awesome ministry you guys do, it reaches all over! I just hope that it becomes infectious and spreads to the world!

    Matthew 5:14-16 says it best:

“Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven. (The Message)

    Keep shining Cross Point!!!

Are there serving opps available that aren’t so physically demanding? I’d love to help, but have health problems that prevent me from doing a lot. FPC is sending a team over on Sat and I’m debating whether I should join them.

Great question. My understanding is there are serving opportunities of all kinds. We would love to have you.

I am SO proud of Crosspoint and the people that have stepped up to help out. Believe me, I would be there every day to help if my job allowed me too! I’m so glad that I got to do it last weekend and hope to join you all this weekend depending on if my sister needs help with her newborn! :) Thanks again for letting me and others serve the community!

Blessings on all that you are doing. We were flooded badly here in the Florida Keys after hurricane Wilma. We had a lot of amazing opportunities to serve after that happened and we kept it going well after the event by starting a ministry we called “The Flood of Kindness”.
