Sometimes I’m blown away by what God is doing here at Cross Point. I just wanted to take a second to update you on a few things that really stood out to me.
-I absolutely love the series we are in entitled Shattered Dreams. The emails and stories we are receiving of transformation are incredible! I think the last two weeks are going to be really powerful.
-Two weeks ago we broke our all time attendance record here at Cross Point. It only lasted a week as we turned around and broke it again this past Sunday! While we don’t measure success just by attendance it’s a great sign that you guys are inviting your unchurched friends and family members. Keep it up Cross Point.
-While I’m thinking about numbers I’ll share another one. This one is even more important. Since January we’ve added over 1,000 people to community groups where they are serving and growing together. For more information about Cross Point Community Groups check out their website HERE. I love how God is using Chris Surratt and his team.
-I can’t believe this but the Bellevue Campus opens up in just over two weeks. Their first Sunday will be May 16th!
-If you haven’t already heard we’re having a special worship service on Wednesday, May 12th at the Bellevue campus. This is a time for everyone from all of our campuses to come together and pray, worship, and dedicate the new building. You won’t want to miss it.
-Don’t forget FX is this weekend at all of our campuses. I’m still blown away by how God is using this program to help grow families.
-Talked with Ryan Bult, our pastor of missions, and he tells me we are taking international trips to Dominican, Honduras and India this year. Several of these trips take place this summer, so please be praying for those groups as they get ready to leave. This summer we get the honor of dedicating the first church we ever helped start and build. Our “very south” Cross Point campus will be dedicating their church/feeding center in July while one of our teams is down there. Can’t wait to see how God is going to use that facility.
This is one of the things that I love about your blog, Pete. You use it as a way to love your congregation and your community while letting others in on the blessings.
Cool stuff. Maybe it is because I am currently studying the book of Philippians with a small home group.. or maybe it is just apropos:
“For God is my witness, how I long for you all with the affection of Christ Jesus. And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment,so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ; having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.”
I don’t know of a more awesome prayer to offer over a church than that.

My sense is that at Crosspoint – it is both a church and movement of God. When God moves it is an awesome thing. I pray you continue to make inroads into Nashville and surrounding with the love of Christ.
On a much smaller scale – I see God working here in the small rural community where I pastor and it is humbling to say the least.
