Faces That Change You
Every once in a while you lock eyes with an individual who changes the way you think, act, and love. Here’s a few eyes I was blessed to glare into.
I could tell you their stories, but just look into their eyes. I think you know.
Matthew 25
37“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
40“The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’

Yeah, these pictures are worth more than a thousand words. These pictures are more like a garden tiller working on my soul.

Hi Pete,
I just watched ‘Pursing wisdom in words’, and all I can think was: “Wow, what a powerful message!”.It really touched my heart and made me think about my own words.
I am so impressed by the way you are able to express your words and insights that you’ve gained from the Bible and experiences in life. I participated in the 31-day challenge and I had noticed too how much was said about emotions, and the way we speak. Your sermons really add more spirituality to my life. I was looking for that, and I am glad that I found it.
Thank you for being who you are and what you do. You are truly an instrument in the hands of the Lord!

This post reminds me so much of my having been fortunate enough to go on Compassion trips to Guatamala and Ecuador, as well as other trips to impoverished areas. What really amazes me every time is the fact that most of the people there never stop smiling! They know true Joy…which is something I can’t always say for myself. Thanks for sharing this beauty with us!

These beautiful eyes speak volumes – more than words could ever express. Their look can move our souls deeply. I can’t even imagine what it would be like to get to see them face-to-face and eye-to-eye. What a blessing, honor and privilege this must be for each of you…

Pete, I am following your posts and listening to a CD that Caedmon’s Call did after they visited. I was truly touched by something they had said and wanted to share it, they said that because of the caste system in India when the people hear the story of a God who loves even the lowest of the caste they are eager to embrace Him. I am touched by that CD, and by the things you have to say regarding your trip. Thank you for going in place of those of us who cannot. We are praying for you in my house at our dinner time. God Bless you and the team.
