Ha! I’ve heard that a lot lately from several other friends of the male variety. Apparently it’s an essential part of manhood…. setting things ablaze….
My mom needs to read your posts about this! Growing up she would always say “this is the reason why I had you kids”! lol

Also… when you REALLY need them, the Grandchildren come along. My Grandma praised me to the skies. No matter what the task, she always said no one could do it as well as I.
Have you done ‘To create sermon illustrations’ yet? If so, that should be one. I love it when you talk about being a father and show pictures of your boys to illustrate a point.
I thought my Dad was the only cruel person that did this. He is obsessed with his chainsaw and cuts anything down he can find. Usually he cuts it up and then makes me carry the wood into the house. We have a lot of fires in the fireplace, but man do I hate carrying wood.
Yeah, I’m with Kyle, although I knew my dad wasn’t the only one to do this. Still, I didn’t know any fathers (until now) who admit to having kids solely for that reason. Nice…
