Recently finished Broken on the back row by Sandi Patty (its worth reading even if you aren't into her music), Mark Driscoll's Death by Love, Forgotten God by Francis Chan, The supremacy of Christ in a postmodern world which is a collection of messages from desiring god conference (REALLY good book, you can download it for free at the desiring god website). On the to-read (well really audiobooks to listen to) pile is Banker to the poor by Muhammad Yunus, Fearless by Max Lucado and Finally alive by John Piper.

Just finished reading "Religion Saves Plus Nine Other Misconceptions" by Mark Driscoll. Driscoll tells it like it is,and always has Scripture to back it up.

The Barbarian Way by Erwin McManus had a huge impact on me. Anything McManus writes is remarkable to me. I finished Wide Awake this summer and he just puts you on fire to do something.
Life of the Beloved, by Henry Nouwen~ Wow...incredible. First time I have read anything by Nouwen and forever changed by him.
Just brought home The Ragamuffin Gospel, by Brennan Manning. Cannot wait to get started!

"The Dangerous Act of Worship" is a book that changed my life. God worked deeply in my life as I read it. Wish we could sit down over coffee and discuss it - you're the only other person I know that's read it!!! I've been dying to talk to someone about it. I'd say that reading this book had alot to do with leaving my position as worship pastor. As I read it, I had a lot of "holy discontent" with where I was.

Right now I'm reading "Freedom of Simplicity" by Richard Foster. I want to start "Everything Belongs" by Richard Rohr soon....

Just recently finished Just Do Something by Kevin DeYoung. Really enjoyed this book!

3/4 of the way through with Let Go by Sheila Walsh. Reviewing it for Thomas Nelson. Great read, well written and very insightful.

Just started A Lineage of Grace by Francine Rivers and Crazy Love by Francis Chan.

I can never read one book at a time. I think I might have a problem, but I love books.

I am currently reading two books - finishing up Phyllis Tickle's "The Great Emergence: How Christianity is Changing and Why." and a novel, "Say You're One of Them" by Uwem Akpan (a novel in Oprah's Book Club). My next read is "The New Faithful: Why Young Adults are Embracing Christian Orthodoxy."
