While many of you were watching your favorite college or NFL team over the weekend I was on the sidelines watching the Vikings win their first game of the season 26-6.
I’m keenly interested in the Vikings since the team features my 8 year old son who absolutely LOVES football.
I’m so proud of him. He ran the entire length of the field to score a touchdown on the first play of the game, ran in a two point conversion, had a couple completions at quarterback and had an interception on defense. I wish you could have seen him. He was all over the field!!
Hope you guys had a great weekend,
Pete (A very proud daddy)

You definitely should be! Love the way you love your kids!

What a football stud! As an avid photographer of my 3 kids, I have to ask what kind of camera you have. Excellent pictures!
Just think how much faster he would be without that Wilson hair! Just kidding pete. Congrats on being proud of you son. Maybe the Titans can use him or the Vols?

Kudos to the Wilsons! Looks like you have a real athlete there.
I was at a college football game today and couldn’t help but think that when we’re jumping up and down and cheering and feeling that overwhelming sense of pride for “our team”, if that’s how God feels about us when we do His work.
It’s a bit disappointing to me, that I find myself getting more excited about football sometimes than I do God.
Anyway, not to take anything away from the kiddos! Great job, Little Wilson!

Jett did an awesome job! I was so proud of him! I can’t wait for the next game.
Football using hands? That’s not football!
Wow, Jett is an American Football star! Go Jett!
And just to say, love that the Vikings are uniformed in the best colour in the world….purple! (not that I’m biased when its my fave colour, but hey, it’s the colour of royalty too!)

Wow – looks like a Pro already, Pete. PK will take on a whole new meaning (“Pro” kid).
I love football–my two oldest sons played in high school and the younger led his team to the state championship game–what a ride!!!
Bet you had a better game watching him than any of the pro-ball fans will have all season.
Take lots of pics & vids, scrapbook ‘em! You’ll love going through them when he’s off to college (on a full ride scholarship–wouldn’t that be grand?!)

Hairstyles of the day etc were absolutely hilarious!

Sounds like he doesn’t just love football…it sounds and looks like he’s really got it going on too. And determined! How exciting. Great shots.
Fabulous message this morning.
Isn’t being a parent awesome!? Love your enthusiasm for your kids and the things they love. Great pics! Looks like a great game.

@Jessica, it’s the most amazing thing I’ve ever done!!
Two thoughts when I saw these pictures:
#1 The Titans could probably use Wilson #2 on their team. Wow, what happened against the Jags?
#2 I loved the picture where Jett’s back is turned and you can see “Wilson” on the jersey. Now that Gavin is in sports, it is so cool to see your child bearing your name out on a field or court competing.

Up here in Western North Carolina, bro, we wear helmets and stuff when we play football. Flag? You gotta be kidding.
