My Guilty Pleasure
A guilty pleasure is defined as “something one enjoys despite feeling guilt for it.”
I consider myself a pretty disciplined person but I will admit my guilty pleasure is pizza. If you follow me on twitter you know my wonderful wife is out of town for a few days on a much deserved girls trip.
What does this mean for me and the boys? It means pizza. Lots of frozen pizza. If I decide to get adventurous we might try peanut butter and jelly and maybe, just maybe, we may try mac and cheese.
Tuesday night in my attempt to cook the perfect frozen pizza, I made a huge mistake. It was the worst frozen pizza disaster I’ve ever witnessed in my life. Here the proof.
How is it even possible to screw up a frozen pizza that bad? But never fear. We somehow found a way to make this pizza work and we didn’t go to bed hungry. Turns out pizza does not have to be flat or round to taste good.
So let’s level the playing filed. What’s your guilty pleasure?

65 Comments:
I can’t say I’d consider pizza a guilty pleasure for anyone (it contains all of the basic food groups!), but that picture is GREAT!
A true guilty pleasure is liking Miley Cyrus, or better yet, having attended a concert by her father.

I’m playing with you. I am also enjoying the same guilty pleasures while my wife is away…along with frozen egg rolls…its really a great combination!!

That is just typical, isn’t it? The wife goes away on a girl’s retreat, probably for the first time in ages, and the boys turn the place upside down. She will not be happy about you showing the interior of that oven on the net. That I can guarantee. On the other hand, Brandi comes across as a true Saint so she will probably won’t even notice.
The only time I ever went on a girls church retreat, I came back to a house which looked and smelled like it had been hit by a bulldozer. My husband invited all his mates and my lovely pot plants were destroyed, serviettes burnt and there were many sore heads for days to come.
My advice to Brandi: if you want a real retreat, send the hubby away and invite the girls in. At least that way you will know that when the fun is over, your house and sanity will remain intact.
My guilty pleasure: a decent cup of freshly ground coffee with a piece of chocolate cake. Yummy!

About your pizza. You are in a dilemma now! If you clean it up, Brandi will think you don’t need her. If you don’t clean it up, she will be mad and made more work for her. Your goose is cooked no matter what! Here’s a possible compromise for you. Clean up most of it. Leave just a bit behind. That way she will roll her eyes and think, “idiot” but will still feel needed. How’s that for compromise?
By the way, you are supposed to watch the pizza and pop the air bubbles. Not to mention put it on a cookie sheet or something…

Ice cream without a doubt. Makes no matter when it is…morning, noon or night. Winter or summer. I will take it any day over cake, cookies, chips, popcorn and a thousand other things (especially now that I am having to wear braces). Bring me ice cream…win my heart. Second place: pizza.
