We celebrated the 4th of July but for very different reasons as my husband and I are both 40 this summer. My husband is British and I have therefore to adjust to British customs so we had a big party in our back garden on Saturday with 60 guests, live band and disco afterwards. We had a blast and I even managed to get all my British friends to dance to some of my favourite Spanish music. We biked the 11 mile loop at Cades Cove! And saw 4 bear, alot of deer, bucks and turkeys! Totally getting up at 5 am our time. Then we went to my mom and dad's and sat on the porch and ate hamburgers and watched all the boats and jet-skis. No fireworks for us this year. I was too tired by bedtime! I went to a local baseball game with fireworks afterwards. The team I rooted for lost 18-4. Everyone would of left early but well the fireworks were at the end. Worth the wait!
