Praying Hard

I would love to ask you to take a few moments to remember East India in your prayers. I know so many of you have recently sponsored children in this area through Compassion.

They’ve been slammed by Aila, a devastating cyclone, that has destroyed thousands of homes, stranding tens of thousands of people in flooded villages and killing at least 115 people.

Having just visited India and seeing the conditions of many of these communities I simply can’t imagine the extent of damage caused by this much rain and wind.

Interesting how being able to attach a face, a name, and voice to this kind of tragedy causes your concern to deepen.

Here’s a few pictures from Kolkata…

Thanks for posting this, awareness really does need to be raised about this beautiful place. It hits close to home.. cause I am from India.. and so every time something like this happens, my heart breaks. The number is up to 191 people.. minimum now.. and so this is just a wake-up call for us as the Body of Christ to be praying for our awesome brothers & sisters abroad. =)
