Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results. -Andrew Carnegie
Earlier this week we took our annual all-staff retreat. This time away is key for our team. We work in a pretty intense environment at a very fast pace and it’s easy for us to drift relationally. Just a few years ago there were just a handful of us and staying on the same page seemed to come easy and almost natural. As the team grows it becomes more and more essential for us to get away and make sure our staff family is functioning in the way it should.
I absolutely love the team I get to work with each day. I’ve never seen a more gifted group of people assembled on one team. I’m very aware I get a lot more credit for things that happen around Cross Point than I should. There are so many people you’ll never see who work day in and day out to help create these life changing environments here at CP. They wholeheartedly want to help create a community radically devoted to Christ, irrevocably committed to one another and relentlessly dedicated to reaching the lost.
I’m proud of each one of them!
Here’s a couple pics from our retreat…

May i use a few of your photos on my blog today?

Ever since I first heard the Cross Point mission statement, it captured my heart and stuck in my head. I’m stealing it for my “life verse” since I can’t seem to land on a biblical one for more than a few months at a time.
Great team you have there!

Who are you working for?? And how effective is your leadership in achieving the goals of the Person you are working for?? I think those are the first questions for every team to be asked – and ask themselves. Ever read “7 Habits of Highly Effective People”?? A manager can do a good job getting people to execute their jobs in pursuit of a goal. Like cutting down trees in a forest. But a true leader is someone who looks from the mountaintop and can shout, “Wrong forest!!”
I think, myself, the body of Christ is on dope in the USA – blind to what forest they working in. They’ve lost sight of the big picture – and can’t even see what is going on around them. Asleep. Lacking vision, knowledge, foresight, and insight. Not knowing the peril or the danger all around them. Not even realizing what time it is – or what is happening while they are sleeping.
Lacking true leadership. Being lead astray by lack of knowledge – and nearly ready to perish for lack of knowledge.
A true leader must arise to call the Christian church in the USA to stand against evil.
Are you that man?? What do you know of the evil in the USA that, if you were awake, God would be calling you to stand against.
Rise to leadership, says the Lord. The day of the managers is about to end.
The forest is about to catch fire.
(Prophesy?? Maybe.)
Hear no evil, speak against no evil, fear no evil??
No, hear no evil and speak against no evil – and evil shall overpower the church in the USA. She must arise, now, and speak against evil. The good will prevail. I will raise leaders, says the Lord, who will take their stand and not compromise in worldliness.
Those who seek the favor of men and please people will lose their positions in my kingdom. The managers will be “let go”.
Leaders are about to rise in the church – and my sheep will hear their voice and follow me.
My leaders will not arise from pulpits. They will arise from the pews and empty the churches who do not stand against evil. The church shall restructure in the days to come.
The political and the spiritual shall become one – because, while you were sleeping, the evil of the political and spiritual rose among you. This nation is about to become overtaken and will be no more. Any who fails to prophesy to you about the evil days that are coming to the USA has failed to lead you. I will raise up shepherds from your midst, says the Lord, and the day of the managers in my house shall end. Mine is not a corporation. Mine is a house of prayer. Popularity is the downfall of my church. Men seek popularity because they lack the fire of the Holy Spirit and eyes to see the evil rising all around them to destroy my people in this land.
(I’m telling you – these are perilous times… and a new wave is about to roll through the body of Christ. Buildings will fall. Denominations will fall. Corporations will fall which pretended to be churches. Popularity clubs will fall. Social clubs will fall. But the Lord says His church will arise – from the pews casting off all these things. You are about to see a Great Awakening sweep this nation. It will not come from the pulpit. It will occur outside these buildings – because a new generation of leaders will arise and a new structure will be birthed – a new city and a new nation church – and the old order will not survive. Children. My people are ruled by children who have not matured… and my people are immature and without knowledge. But a new generation shall arise from the pews and take to the streets, says the Lord.)
Yep, prophecy. I’m feeling the Spirit. There is good in the churches – but inappropriate to the hour – and that is why there is going to be radical change in the church across the USA.
Where is the place that you guys went for your retreat? And is it far from Nashville?
It looks gorgeous and may be a cool place to take the family when I am down that way.
Be visiting with you in 3 weeks!

Thank you to everyone on the Cross Point team!
Pete,
I have seen some of these things you guys did at a “pre-rope course” training session. Did you do a rope-course? Talk about teaching you to trust another person and confront some of your deepest fears…you all should try it if you haven’t already.
I am glad that you were able to get away and connect with the rest of the staff. Communication is soo very important. I think that is why our enemy attacks that particular area through gossip and rumors.

I fear my house could be foreclosed on. I am faced at age 43 to change careers simple because I can no longer make a living. I am a hard worker and feel I have been been given a great talent. I pray to God that I can find something where I can use my creative talents and be happy. I ask that you pray to God to give me some kind of peace of mind. What I have been holding inside me for the past few months have been unbearable.
@anonymous, So sorry to hear that. I’ll be praying for you and I hope you can find someone you trust to talk with. Holding this stuff in never leads to anything healthy.
@Kels, we didn’t do a ropes course on this trip but we did one back in the fall. It was incredible!
I can not do a rope course because of a back injury but I was blessed to watch my then 11 year old do it. She did not do the whole thing. But what she did do brought her a bit closer to taking on more responsibilty of taking care of her Diabetes. Watching her come down the zipline was so neat.

И опять об этом. Если поисковики научатся понимать смысл, то блогерам придется поизголяться, чтобы быть читаемыми и не похожими на других.
