Stuck In My Head

I’ve had this song stuck in my head all morning and I thought I would allow the boys to give you this gift as well. You’re welcome. Enjoy.

What song have you had in your head lately?

Mighty to Save (anyone), You Are Good by Karo Jobe and Blackbird by Alterbridge. I am not ADD but my mind sure acts like it at times. :) Later today it may be a whole new set of songs.

Somebody mentioned The Rainbow Connection the other day and it stayed with me for days. Not something you want to have stuck in your head. At least I sound better than Kermit.

What’s in my head? Well I’m glad you asked…The Desert Song. The funnything is this isn’t the order that the song is in but in my head this is the way it is prayed & sang…

And this is my prayer in the battle
And triumph is still on it’s way
I am a conqueror and co-heir with Christ
So firm on His promise I’ll stand
All of my life In every season
You are still God I have a reason to sing
I have a reason to worship
And I will bring praise I will bring praise
No weapon forged against me shall remain
I will rejoice I will declare
God is my victory and He is here.

but now it’s followed by $5 footlong…Thanks Pete!

Have to say the Veggie Tales – “I love my lips” – but applied to whatever is the topic at the moment. This morning – it was “If my Bubba said adios, I don’t like you I think you’re gross – that’d be too bad, I’d call my dad” – you get the point…..

Aw gee, thanks, Pete. My kids like to sing that song, but in our family “dorkwad” is a favorite word (and actually a term of endearment for us) so my kids sing “5, 5, 5 dollar dorkwad”. Since the song is stuck in your head will you be eating Subway for lunch today??

Glad you asked! I’m sure you know this one, but here are the lyrics. Happy singing…

It’s a world of laughter, a world of tears
It’s a world of hopes, it’s a world of fear,
theres so much that we share that it’s time we’re aware, it’s a small world after all.

It’s a small world after all
It’s a small world after all
It’s a small world after all
    It’s a small, small world.

I have a few that keep kind of flip-flopping for being stuck at #1 in my head. Currently they are:

Sing My Love – Kim Walker
    Devotion – Newboys
I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day – Casting Crowns (In know Christmas was 3 months ago!)

Torn – Natalie Imbruglia (This one may have something to do with the youtube video with Natalie and Johan Lippowitz!) doing the interpretive movements with it!)

    Shattered – O.A.R.

    this morning: bob the builder…
And I am not around kids right now, I am in Vegas!!
I need a good head cleaning from all kids songs…

Hallelujah Chorus, alto part. And a spiritual called, “Awake At Last,” also alto part only. At least dh is doing the bass parts. Now if a couple of our kids would do the soprano and tenor, we’d be in business.

Sometimes it stinks being in the church choir, because I find myself singing the same one or two songs 24/7!
