We’re Getting Closer

crosspoint

A team from Cross Point just returned from our first trip of 2009 to the Dominican Republic. We’ve been working for the past couple of years on a church and feeding center in a small Haitian community. I’m so proud of every single person whose been over there the past couple of years putting a lot of sweat equity into this project.

We’re getting closer and closer. Here’s a few highlights from their trip last week!

  1. I’m on the far right of the picture. We had a great time. For those of you wondering what Heather is holding, that is Stanley. I recieved him in the mail right before we left. He is part of a Social Studies project I received from a middle school class in Indiana. They want Stanley to travel to all 50 states and some foreign countries. I thought it would be neat to take him with us. Before Stanley arrived in Tennessee, he had visited 12 other states. I have shipped Stanley to Georgia.

  3. Awesome Pete! Where are you guys working in the DR? I’m going to Barahona from July through December to work with a program there.

Actually if you check my last two blogs posts they have pictures and videos from my trip to the DR over Thanksgiving. Life changing. I can’t wait to go back in July.

  5. That was beautiful. I sure am proud of this church body.

I am also proud of Brian Alexander’s biceps…did he have to register those “guns” prior to the trip?

  6. Hi Pete. I’m Jessica, my hubby is Chris. This is a random placement for this msg… We have listened to a couple of msgs from Crosspoint, as we’re anticipating a relocation to Nashville in the very near future and seeking a new home church. We have some questions about Nashville and our search for a place to live if you (or someone you could suggest as a contact) may be able to help us in that area. It’s late, but if you get the chance to email back we can send you more contact info & whatever else to help! Thanks for your time.
