Hi,
I just came cross this discussion and am hoping that one of you can help me with a mystery movie. Back in or around 1988 I saw a movie that I want to rent for my daughter to see. For the life of me, I can't recall the name and have found nothing that looks like it could be it. It was a romantic tear-jerker that takes place in late 19th/early 20th century England. A teenage son of a high society family falls in love with a girl from a poor background. They meet at a summer estate or vacation place where she works as a maid, I think. Like in The Notebook, the theme is about how class differences and external forces work to keep lovers apart. I don't know the names of any of the actors. Does this movie ring a bill to anyone!? If so, I'd be very grateful if you could let me know at blbehrmann@hughes.net. Thank you! Barb

I agree Chocolat is a wonderful movie. I think every church planting team should watch that movie. And Johnny Depp is in it so that makes it one of my favorites. But it does have a dark side to it. Do chicks enjoy the darker side of movies too?
Definitely a movie church leaders should watch that's for sure!
Blessings,
Dave

City of Angels

Ironically I was working on my Top 10 Chick Flick List yesterday (I was making a lot of top 10 lists).

Here's the complete list...

City of Angels
I.Q.
Music and Lyrics
You've Got Mail
The Wedding Singer
The Princess Bride
Can't Buy Me Love
When Harry Met Sally
Hitch
Say Anything

Although I must confess that I've never seen Love Actually or Sweet Home Alabama.

We made this mistake too. What an awful mistake it was. Pride & Prejudice, Two Weeks Notice or The Notebook for me. I can't decide.

Holy Cow! We watched the same exact movie this weekend. I agree with you totally. Although I did bawl like someone I love had must died at the end part of the movie.

My favorite chick flick is also, "The Notebook." I also LOVE "Pretty Woman" and "Dirty Dancing."

BTW.....LOVE the new site! It looks awesome!
