Work In Progress
Yea!!!!!! I’m back in the blogosphere. So a huge thanks to Anne Jackson and her mad blog skillz for getting us moved over. Obviously we still have some tweaking we’ve got to do over the next couple of days but we’re well on our way.
I should have the new blogroll up by the end of the week if everything goes right.
Let me know what you think. I would love to hear your comments and suggestions.

Hey Pete (or Anne)… the link for Blake Bergstrom doesn’t work. It takes you to a WordPress signup page to start a blog for Blake Bergstrom.
On a different note, it was great to connect last week at re:create (and at Cross Point).

Can you bring back the explanation of the site name? I think it is a cool story and interesting for new readers. Would also be great if there was a tiered comment system and you could respond to people’s comments. I think that really helps dialogue occur in the comments section.
Looking good though!

Love the new look. Looks cheerier, brighter and like the simplicity.
One picky bit (here comes my like sadness/weird quirks/opinionatedness/mild OCD) is I don’t like the fact the font size/type in your wee ‘about me’ bit is the same as the font size/type as the writing in the blog posts and comments. But that might be one of your tweaky bits already…!
Way to go Anne Jackson. Love the new look!!!!!! So much better than the depressing black!

The letters in the title graphic could use some kerning work. Ultimately you want even spacing between the letters; i.e. you don’t want some letters within the same word touching and others not touching, or big spaces between some letters and little/no space between others.

I think the loose kerning works if you’re going for a look that’s less formal, hand-drawn, off-balance or “grungy.” But with the rest of the site being so neat and clean, it just seems out of place–like it doesn’t go with the theme.
I don’t mean to pull a Simon Cowell on you. =)
I’m a big fan of both you and Pete, so please don’t take any of my comments as mean-spirited. That’s totally not my heart. Ultimately you have to go with what you feel good about.

Anne did a Great Job; I Love the bright, clean look! The black page had it’s day, but this is a fresh start. I would add a link close to the top of your side bar explaining the name Without Wax so if anyone new comes over they “get it.” Also a “jump to comment” button would be helpful for when there is a Ton of comments to scroll through. And lastly I did like the icon/ pictures next to the recent comments in your old sidebar. I think it would be nice to bring that feature back because it would add a lot of color/ texture to your page.
Blessings, Carolynn

I must be so out of what is cool, rockin, and progress in sites. Love that you went to self-hosting…you have so much more content control.
I like your new picture but loved the colors of previous site…for me that black didn’t stand out as a negative….it help it have a depth, meaning, and vanguard feel.
It it white, grey, blah…crying for creative spontaneous, unexpected color.
But I still love your blogs.
