Every Sunday I’m amazed at the volunteers who make Cross Point such a special community. They have a passion for people far from God. I know many of you participate in the Without Wax community from around the county and world and don’t get to physically be here. I wish you could have the opportunity to meet some of the amazing people I get to do life with here in Nashville.
It wan an amazing day as we launched our new series entitled Xmas and saw dozens of people cross the line of faith and become followers of Christ. I was totally blown away. Here’s a video and a few photos of the people I’m lucky enough to get to worship with each week.

I attend First Baptist Woodstock and I love to see the body of Christ working together. It always thrills me to see so many different people from so many different backgrounds coming together to do Gods work!
That was an awesome video! Loved his thoughts about how anyone’s daily work can be given to God and used for God. And his final thought about how God would bring him back to that occupation if he tried to move away from it? That’s how I feel about being a stay-at-home mom, even though God gave me smarts and a college degree, and even though I once had a career in publishing. I feel I was meant to do THIS job in the end!
This is an awesome video… I’m always amazed by people that can create works of art with their hands. And to do it for the glory of God? Yeah, that is uber awesome! Thanks for sharing this, Pete.
Musicians … and artists … truly God’s gift to all of us.
Thanks for the video
@Diana, So true!
Thank you for that video. Props to you brother – that was really encouraging and inspiring.
Love the pics of your church too. Nothing like what a sunday service looks like here. I’m really privileged to be part of the music-worship team at MBC. I was really honoured to be singing tonight as it was just so encouraging. Things are changing, people are changing, attitudes are changing in our wee part of ‘the church’ we call MBC. Tonight was cold (our building is not the warmest in winter!) but there was lots of worship and praise a-happening!
Would love to come visit you all at CP one day. I love your Christmassy decorations.
I thought this video was brilliant and the stage looks great.
And Persinable rocks!
I loved this… thanks for sharing. I feel very fortunate to be able to experience as much of your community as I already have. You do a wonderful job of including us and it’s so appreciated.
Beautiful shots of beautiful souls doing beautiful works.
I’m sitting in reversal for the 4th service… We’re lucky to serve with YOU!
That would be rehearsal. Thanks iPhone.
awesome. great video. wish I could come to Crosspoint to visit someday!
Amazing video. Thanks for sharing. And thanks for sharing your church with all of us … just one more reason to add to my list of reasons to move to Nashville, because from what I’ve seen on your blog I’m sure I would love attending your church!
This series, Dream Job, has been amazing and encouraging. It has reinforced my feeling that I am blessed to have a job I love and blessed to be able to work. Great videos, as always. I am looking forward to the day that I get to visit Cross Point and worship at such a faith-filled and creative church.
wow. these pics captivated me pete. i cant wait to worship there in feb.!
To the guitar maker, I wonder if you have visited my dad who owns the Woodcraft store in Franklin, if not, you should. He could hook you up with some great tools if you ever need any. And tell him his daughter referred you through the blogosphere. He’ll love that! lol. Love what you do.
Knowing what you are supposed to be doing. Right on. Thank you for that.
Great video – when he said (paraphrasing) if I did something else, God would bring me back because this is what I was chosen to do, it brought tears to my eyes. It made me think about how much I love the “simple” job I have working five lunch waves in an elementary school cafeteria. How in three months these kids have made me smile and laugh and leave my troubles at the door. I’ve had alot of jobs, and I can understand now why people dedicate themselves to working with kids.
Begin with the end in mind…that’s the bottome line for life isn’t it?
The video was inspired. Thank you for sharing~
Wish I could be there too man. Looking forward to the next time we make it down to the Nashville area to visit.
Praying for you guys.
