You Guys Are Amazing!
On the heels of THIS post from earlier this week, I feel like there is something I need to “say” to you guys as a community here.
You guys amaze me. Just this week Without Wax moved into the top 5,000 blogs (according to technorati) in a world full of 80 million of them.
There are a lot of great blogs out there.
A lot of blogs have better content.
A lot of blog have more wisdom.
A lot of blogs have better pictures.
A lot of blogs are funnier.
A lot of blogs have more focus.
A lot of blogs are more entertaining.
So how has this one moved to the top 5k in just 9 months? Simple. It’s you. It’s the open, honest, community you guys are forming here.
I think Kristen said it best this week when she left this comment…
i have so much to say to all of you here.
you show me God in ways I was never looking for him. You’ve opened my eyes and my heart and i’m a stronger, better, more trusting person for it.
Without Wax is not Pete. Without Wax is all of you. I’m just blessed to get to facilitate it.
Why don’t we do a little community roll call. Leave your name, where you live, and one interesting thing about you so we know you’re reading along. Go, it’s an all-skate.

@Kevin, I thought you promised you wouldn’t tell anyone!

I won a ride on a firetruck in first grade. My mom let me dress myself so I chose teal green pants and a kelly green t-shirt. I thought I was hot stuff! Thankfully, I match much better now. I saw the one and only Pete Wilson at Catalyst but I’m kinda shy when not behind my computer, so I kept walking.

I am obsessed with information. All of it. Sometimes my brain needs a break from the overload and I need to veg out and let the brain sleep, watch and listen to something boring to drown out reality… Thank goodness for Pete’s sermons, huh? /wink

My name is Emily I live in Sayre, PA and I too wasn’t expecting to find God here, a most unlikely place as a new “blog reader”. I love the honesty here, and I know I can be honest here, which is what brings me back every day! You make me feel normal and human and honest and that my personal flaws are okay – that we all struggle with something! My hope is to someday meet you all in person and come to TN to visit Crosspoint! Thanks Pete!

I’ve kept two of the three Wilson boys in the CP nursery. My husband once wanted to sneak and cut Boy #3′s hair so that it would look just like Pete’s! Needless to say, I’m the sane one in the marriage and talked him out of it. We love CP and the Wilsons. Thanks for making church so real.
