It’s Not A Conference, It’s an Experience
I wouldn’t really call myself a a conference kind of guy. While I love to learn, I usually have a hard time sitting in a location being bombarded with information for a couple of days. It might have to do with my ADD, but it’s just not the best environment for me.
However Catalyst is a different story.
I love this conference because I think it’s the non conference-conference. It’s an experience.
I love the worship, the speakers, and the opportunity to network with 12,000 of my closest friends.
Several of you have contacted me about getting together at Catalyst. As you can imagine it’s tough to do at a conference this big, so here are two great ways to meet up. On Thursday night I’ll be at the Atlanta Bloggers Meetup and then right after that I’ll be at the Deadly Viper shin-dig, from 8-9:30 pm. You can CLICK HERE for more details. Looking forward to hanging out!
I’ll also be blogging from the conference, but for the best coverage you’ve got to check out the CATALYST BACKSTAGE BLOG hosted by none other than my colleague Anne Jackson. She’ll have unprecedented access to all the speakers you’ll want to hear from. So if you can’t go to Catalyst this year, you can experience it via the blog. Check it out…

I am planning to head that way this evening…maybe we will bump into each other. Of course, maybe you will bump into TD Jakes again for another photo op (or was that Mr. T?).
I will try to make it to one of the bloggers events.
Be in prayer for my daughter, she has been in pain and we just found out this morning that she has stones in her bladder and they will are scheduling surgery to go and get them out. I don’t know when the surgery is going to occur or how intrusive it is going to be. Her bladder was augmented some time back so that it could be connected to her belly button. I am hoping that they can just go through her belly button to get the stones out – that way, she could probably go home the same day. This may have an impact on my ability to be at Catalyst.
God Bless you all.

My pastor, our youth leader and worship leader will be at Catalyst! I would love for them to meet up with you, but am not sure they will be able to…I did tell them to look up Anne Jackson, though. I will tell them where you will be as you mentioned above, so who knows?!

I agree. I’m not big on conferences unless they are an experience type conference.

I love Catalyst! I haven’t been in a couple of years since moving down to Florida. Have fun and be refreshed. I look forward to hearing all about it!

To all you Catalyst go-ers: if I hear one more word about Catlayst I think I am going to scream! And then break down in tears because I could not go. I have never had reason to go before this year and after hearing so much about it, I wanted to go so bad. But the church money is tight and I am attending theSticks in November. Maybe next year. Hope y’all have a great time without me!
