This Week…

For all of you Nashville peeps – This week we’re continuing our Baggage series.  I want to encourage you to pray about who you might want to invite to come with you this week.

This week we’ll be looking at the baggage of bitterness and anger. My guess is there are a lot of us who need to discover how to get rid of that baggage and discover the freedom that comes along with forgiveness.

Click HERE if you want to send an evite to someone for the Baggage series.

I also wanted to give you the video promo from this past Sunday. Feel free to pimp this on your blog, Facebook or MySpace.

See you Sunday. Don’t forget our new service times at 8:30, 10:30, 11:45 and 6:00 p.m.!

  3. Pete, I invited an old acquaintance this week. I don’t believe it was an accident that he stopped by the office. Everyone please pray for him. All of us have the baggage, but he is carrying some most of us can’t begin to imagine.

  6. Dear elle and KC,

In the 18th and 19th centuries, the term was commonly used to refer to informers.

The verb “pimping” came up in the early 17th century. In the first years of the 21st century, a new meaning of the word has emerged in the form of a transitive verb which means “to decorate” or “to gussy.” This new definition was made popular by Pimp My Ride, an MTV television show. Although this new definition paid homage to hip-hop culture and its connection to street culture, it has now entered common, even mainstream commercial, use. In medical context, the verb also means “To ask (a student) a question for the purpose of testing his knowledge.

I’m not sure how you guys use it but that’s how I roll. :)
