Let’s Get To know Each Other!

It’s been a heavy week here at Without Wax with discussions on baggage and cheating. I thought it would be a great opportunity to resurrect our “let’s get to know each other” post.

So here’s the deal. Answer the question above your comment and then you get to leave the next question. If you’re a “lurker” who doesn’t normally comment, then this is your chance. Go ahead…jump in and feel free to play as many times as you want!

First Question: What do you think is your top spiritual gift?

loving our little community here,

Pete

I’d probably take my laptop (which would of course have internet connection) – send an e-mail so people could come rescue me. While waiting to be rescued, I’d keep you up to date on island happenings on a blog probably. I have no idea who the person would be though I’d want with me…maybe a friend I’ve been estranged from lately, with the hope that we’d be able to mend where our friendship got broken while stuck on the island.

    Your Question:::::

Well that would be my church family…however they are all saved , But I feel they do not KNOW CHRIST..what I mean is a Personal relationship / intimate.
This could be a deep topic for me.
I feel many in the church have no personal relationship. They only know Christ from the Pastor or a friend but have not figured out that without knowing his Word…you cannot know Him.
The word of God is the Will of God.

My question is DO YOU REALY KNOW CHRIST???

  9. Pete Wilson September 11, 2008 at 7:58 pm #

I do. And I’m so thankful!

this will sound pitiful, but I’d like to travel 2 hours to my parents’ house and see my family. i can’t travel at all anymore because of pain and I miss sitting on their back porch while my nieces and nephews roast s’mores on a bonfire. If you were to lose one of your senses, would you rather lose your sight or hearing???

    Favorite show in syndication?

  40. sara September 12, 2008 at 1:49 am #

that would cause a debate between my passion and my vanity. I can’t lose my hearing because I want to sing and need to hear music and the voices of my nieces and nephews. For vanity’s sake, I can’t lose my sight or everyone around me would suffer the look of me without correctly applied makeup and hair… and you just have to trust me on this one. My mother told me that natural beauty takes time, and in my case she is right! :) So I’ll keep them both and give you my sense of smell. :)

  62. normbetland September 14, 2008 at 10:47 pm #

I do not believe that everyone has a soulmate. I think that for some, marriage is not in the plan and that is neither good nor bad. I think that Paul talked a lot about the fact that either way is ok (although, not everything that can be done in marriage can be done outside of it)

What are your thoughts on the ‘five solas’?
