Why We Had Kids (Part 6)

Because someone has to hold the antenna so I can watch the football game.

If you haven’t already seen them…

Does Brandi know you took her BEAUTIFUL plant off of that table to put that TV up there??? I don’t think she does!

Poor Smoke, look at his little face – all in the hopes of pleasing his daddy!! LOL!!

Next time wrap tin foil around it too, and you’ll have it perfect! :) We lived in the country and I remember my dad climbing on the roof to adjust the antenna during games. Now that’s dedication!!!

    Good luck at Dickson today!

When my kids get older, I’m going to fly your kids down so they can train mine on how to do all those awesome chores. I got another one for ya. How bout getting the remote? Even my two and a half year old has come in pretty handy for the remote ask:)

@OCD-ism. Please don’t tell her. I’m hoping she doesn’t read the blog today. I got put the plant back before she even realized.

Probably my favorite of all the reasons you had kids. I mean, you gotta have your football.

lol — I think it’s the rutting season, because I just returned from Alaska where the flights were so full of fishermen that I could not get a standby flight for over 26 hours — see my blog to see what God taught me in this Very Great Trauma — it’s awesome (and has about two more parts coming)!

When I returned to Wyoming, I was the only woman on the small flight with about a dozen men all coming to our state to hunt. Then I walked in my front door to find my husband sitting in front of the TV watching football, and opened up your blog to see your son holding the antenna so you can watch football! lol

Meanwhile, this morning, I opened my Bible to the next section I was to read today and it was Isaiah 8 — note verse 6 about the floodwaters breaching the walls — and my husband was watching the news from New Orleans. The men and women of the National Guard have arrived to protect homes that have been evacuated, and I have heard of only one looter waiting in prison. These are servicemen and women just home (or about to deploy) to Iraq/Afghanistan. It’s such a blessing to know that men and women alike will drop all this superficial stuff when necessary to help others in need, and come together for the storms and trials we face. I know you would too, or at least I hope so! lol

So…does he have to be a little older before he fetches the remote for you? Or, is that the duty of one of your other sons?

Seriously…thats histerical!! We just threw out our bunny ears last January and upgraded to cable! It was a sad day to see the bunny ears on the side of the road for trash pick up day.
Gage reminded me of the days we would move our antenna around and around or have something touch it just to watch football on Sunday afternoon. :)
