There are many different events we put on as a church. My favorite, hands down, is our Volunteer Appreciation Banquet. Once a year we roll out the red carpet in an attempt to find a way to say thank you to the hundreds of volunteers that make Cross Point Church the special place it is.
Every year the banquet is full of some unexpected moments that make the night. Here is a “Back to the Future” spoof we opened the event with last year.

If you’re a Cross Point volunteer you need to RSVP for the banquet by THIS THURSDAY. You can email your rsvp to rsvp@crosspoint.tv. Trust me, you won’t want to miss this year!!

Dude! Are you people kidding me? At my church we were lucky if we got donuts after Mass once a month… and you all produce and make movies! I guess I’m not in Kansas (or Iowa) anymore, Toto…

uhhh woah.
I want your video teach team.
sweet video. maade me laugh. i needed to laugh.
What a great idea that I have to suggest to the leadership at my church! Wonderful to let the people know how appreciated they all are!
I read your post on Francis Chan and have to agree with his comments! How true AND sad to say this about the church! I also listen to a radio-cast daily from a pastor out of Rolling Meadows, IL and he’s doing a series on that very thing! The Post-Modern Church is the “luke-warm” church of Revelation!!!
Blessings to you…….
Where the heck did you rent a delorean? That is awesome!!!
So did you meet Jesus? *G*
This is awesome. I have the same question…where did you get the car from?
One other thing though….is it me or do you have an uncanny resemblance to Michael J Fox?
I was going to send you an email but I’ll tell you here, I really don’t think you should spoof movie clips in church! We all know fun in church is against the rules (Everyone else can save their emails now…I took care of the complaining!)
That was very cool.
“I’m short that’s why they don’t listen to me!” Ha! I loved that line
@rebuildingruins, I can’t remember where we found the car. Someone in Nashville owned it. Matt S. tracked it down for us.
@joseph, Michael J. Fox was totally my hero growing up.
I want to know where did they rent the OLD GUY and how did they make him flexible enough to get OUT of the DeLorean?
Haha! I loved that!
I am always blown away with the work you guys do in video. Inspiring and creative.
You guys are just too creative for your own good! I loved that!
It was pretty awesome how they made you look the part of Michael J Fox’s character. You looked like a natural (probably because you’re so short)
Awesome stuff. Can’t wait to see this year’s video.
Heavy.
volunteer appreciation banquet is my favorite even too! can’t wait until this years… they’re always memorable.
still love that video.
Pete, this is NUTS! You guys are awesome!
We’re looking at doing out first volunteer banquet this year. Who might I be able to contact on your team to glean/steal some ideas from?
The Back 2 the Future movies are my favorite! That was hilarious. Great way to motivate volunteers!
NICE!!! We need you to come down and do some acting in WIlmington when you get some free time… free time? nevermind….
great video!
That was great! Where in the world did you find the Delorean???
Pete. That was so great.. very verycool
ooooh, it still makes me laugh
favorite line cuz i totally feel that way sometimes: “it’s because i’m short…that’s why they don’t listen to me. it’s because i’m…short.”
I still love this video! This night is always one of my favorites too! It is just fun to get around others that get why we serve and see how God uses them all in different ways! Can’t wait!
Still laugh about that video. Other than Scott re working the beer commercial jingle to be about Cross Points and the volunteers
that is the best memory from the last 5 banquets.
Lookin good Pastor Pete!
We gotta have coffee sometime.
That was so awesome! Amazing job on that. I’m still trying to wrap my mind around how you guys pulled that one off. Too cool!
I can’t believe you got a Delorean! Totally RAD DUDE!
Good Grief, are you kidding me?? You people have the coolest church.
PS: Do you actually have to be a Cross Point Volunteer and live in TN to come to this Volunteer Party?
Amazing and laughing out loud, that was great!
P.S. I’m seriously considering relocating to TN
!
gotta love “Back to the Future”. Cool video. We just did a video series that spoofs the CSI’s. I’ll be posting that in a few weeks. Nice work. Very creative.
Your creatives are so awesome…
thanks for your words pete. nice work on the Back to the Future stuff. you seem like a guy i would hang with. lemme know if you’re ever in NY.
that is an incredible movie.
where’d you get that delorean from?
