Will You Pray for Moise?

I talked to Moise today and asked him how we could pray for him. He said, “Pete, there are three thing for you to pray for.”

1) Pray for the church. Pray that we will continue to reach this community and that many Haitians will come to know Christ.

2) Pray for my desire to know God and study His Word.

3) Pray for a good wife (notice he says a good wife and not just a wife) :)

On a serious note, I know that Moise sometimes really battles with loneliness. Many of you know how lonely ministry can be, but imagine it as single man in a third world country.

So if you have a second go leave Moise a comment of encouragement or prayer and I’ll read them to him later this week.

Moise, Know that me and my family pray for you often. I pray for your church (Cross Point DR) that it will reach the community around it as well as anyone that will come and know Christ. I also pray that God will send you knowledge and desire to know Him more. My prayer is that God will send you the perfect wife for you to spend life with and do ministry with.

When I saw the pictures of this team there in the DR with you, my heart was saddened because I couldn’t be there. I miss you often my friend and I can’t wait to see you this spring.

    Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord you God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.

    I love you brother,

I cannot even begin to describe the weight I felt in my heart and still feel, after reading the humble prayer requests of Moise. I have never met Moise, but I sure plan to next year. Moise I now commit to praying for you regularly. I know that God certainly will do His work through you there where you are. I will pray for your intimacy with your Heavenly Father, for your wisdom in everything He has entrusted to you, and for a dear, tender, wife who will love Jesus more than life. I am so honored to pray for you.

Moise you are a true example of a man who has “given it all” for Christ. I am inspired by your ministry and what you are doing for the cause of Christ. I am praying for you and for your church. I pray that He will grant you the desires of your heart for a God fearing and loving wife and I am believing that He will come along side you and encourage you with every step you take.

Moise, I will pray for you every week. Thank you for committing to serve the people in your community. Thank you for loving them and for being a Godly example. Thank you for being strong when you have no strength left. You are amazing and it is an honor to stand united with you in prayer and in service to our King.

Moise–I think about and pray for you and the church often. I still remember the first time I met you on our first trip down to the DR. You where with me at the Medical Clinic. You stood out to me as such a man of faith and it has been so AWESOME to watch you grow, and grow God’s church in this community. You have, and continue to be a true example of what a man of God is. I will be praying for your church and a great woman to come into your life and do ministry along side of you. We serve an amazing God and I know He has the perfect woman for you. Here is a great verse that I hold on to Jeremiah 29:11. I am looking forward too returning to the DR next year and can’t wait to see ya! Thank you for all that you have done for us here in Nasville your life is such an example to us..

Moise, how humble it is for a man in ministry to ask for prayer for greater desire for God and His word. I am blessed and inspired by this request. Our family adopts missionaries for prayer and the children each remember something different to pray for at night. You will be our new missionary. We have never heard your name spoken aloud, so please ask Pastor Pete to spell the pronunciation for us. God bless you.

    Moise,

KNOW that we, too, will be praying for you. I have never been to the DR but I plan on doing this trip at least ONCE in my lifetime – and when I do, I definitely want to meet you. By then, you will be married to a GODLY woman and have many kids!! That’s what I’m praying for!! :)

    Moise,
Ever since I heard some of your story on Pete and Brandi’s blog I have prayed for you and your church daily. I will continue to pray for you in these three areas and will look forward to hearing how God answers those prayers in and through your life. Though we may never meet, you serve as an inspiration to me and to many people here in the U.S. – Continue to let Christ shine through your life. Nick

    Moise,
It is such an honor to be partnering with you in ministry. Your heart for people and love for God is inspiring to me. Thank you for all that you do. We are praying for your specific requests!

Moise, I pray that God will encourage your heart by allowing you to see at least a little of how He is working through the ministry of your life there in the DR. I’m sure He’s doing more than we can imagine and that your influece will be felt for years and generations to come. I pray that your church will be healthy, growing, joyous and filled with love for one another and those who do not know Christ. I also pray that God would mature you in your faith and that you will grow ever closer to Him – and minister out of that close relationship.

    Moise,

There are people around the world right now praying for you and your ministry. I am in Canada right now helping some friends of mine start a new church. It is awesome to know that no matter what country we are in and now matter what language we speak – God unites us with the blood of Jesus. May God advance His Kingdom here on earth through you! Blessings -

    Moise,
We are so grateful for the work you’re doing for our King. I pray that many in your community would come to know God because of the ministry of this church. I pray that God is preparing you to be a Godly husband and that He is preparing a wonderful woman to be your spouse; I can certainly empathize with your prayers for a good spouse:) May God continue to draw you to Him.

    In Christ,
    Ally

    Dear Moise,

    You certainly make God smile.

I cannot imagine the loneliness of ministry, but I do know the feeling of being lonely all too well. I pray that the Lord will guide you on your journey and make clear the unique opportunities in your path to lead others to know Him and make Him known.

I pray that you know this church family is touched and overwhelmed by your selflessness and that you are enveloped with this Love and support each and every day.

You are in our prayers, not just today, but always.

    Much Love…your sister in Christ,
    -andrea

    Moise

I have been encouraged and excited just from the pictures I have seen on Pete’s blog. I can only begin to imagine what the people you are serving and helping everyday must feel from your love and your tender care. I know how you feel when it comes to wanting that desire for God’s word to be strong and constant. As I pray for my own desire to be renewed, I pray that God would set a fire in your heart that can only be met by having His word poured into your heart.

Thank you for the work you do in the DR and for being at part of what’s happening at CP and with this great big family of believers, you are appreciated and be blessed my friend.

    Moise,

Hello! I have randomly or rather by the grace of God come to this blog because of a link I saw on my homepage but I am a missionary in Tokyo reaching the Japanese for Christ. Therefore I have to say that I understand how lonely it can be especially as a single person but lately I have continually been learning that Jesus is sufficient for all our needs. For any reason I can think of for wanting to be married (loneliness, companionship, glorifying God etc.) God can satisfy each and everyone of those needs. In fact He satisfies them perfectly! Better than anyone in a marriage could BUT he did makes us to long for that and in fact gave Eve to Adam for a special reason. So although He knows we long for that companionship we can rest in how He will always be the perfecter of our faith and truest companion in life. I pray that you remain steadfast, faithful and wholeheartedly committed to the Lord as you minister in the D.R. I have prayed for you this day. God Bless.

Moise, God Bless you! I pray for a new revelation of the peace of Christ and that as you walk the land in Haiti you would have the favor of Christ and grace and mercy. I pray that you would be brought a helpmate with the same passion for the gospel! Amen.
