In case those of you back home wonder what we eat while visiting with our sister church in the D.R.. Here you go…

Yes. Every day. Several times a day.
If you had to eat the same meal every day for a week what would it be?
*To read some other blogs from our trip visit www.crosspointmissions.tv
Pizza! And then my insides would be completely wrecked!
@Lisa, I can’t believe you would do that to me. I MISS pizza so much. I would give up my right arm for some pizza right NOW.
Does Papa John’s deliver to the D.R.? I’ll have it delivered today!
Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches with chips and sweet tea. Hands down, Amen.
tuna fish and pickles with cold lemonade. Praying for you guys.
You know I am a chicken man.(ok that sound kinda odd) But I could eat chicken and homemade macaroni and cheese all day everyday.. mmmm
Chicken. I love chicken! I didn’t know you guys got that for a meal. Sign me up. Im going next summer !!!!
Ya, I’m with the chicken people. FOR SURE – chicken…
No Pizza for me, no way!! – Chicken and Hot dog buns. YUM!!!
I think I’ll have that for dinner.
I love chicken….
Turkey and cheese (crackers optional), iced tea.
Chili. I never get tired of it.
Pete:
my seminary BFF works for a missions organization (Mission Emanuel) down in the DR – she’s like a USA rep, mainly working from the states. but she spends a few weeks out of the school year there, as well as half the summer down there.
she says all the eat is rice and beans and chicken. every. single. day. it’s all they can afford.
puts it in perspective, though, doesn’t it?
Praying for all of you and your families during your trip.
I don’t know what I would pick to eat if I could only have one thing for every meal. Hmmmmmm! But it would probably involved pasta of some sort and a lifetime supply of Fresca. I know that’s a weird drink, but I love it.
Hang in there! As my grandfather would have said “we got it good, don’t we”.
Chicken! Seriously I love it (Fried, Baked, Rotisserie, Grilled, Roasted, Smoked, I think you get my point)
Continuing to pray for your mission team, the church in the DR, and Moise.
Salmon burgers.
easy…spaghetti. You can’t go wrong with spaghetti.
Tacos. Yum!
Gotta agree with brad! I could eat spaghetti every day.
by the way, your food looks good.
Cherry Pez
Easy…tuna sub on wheat with HEAVY onion
PIZZA all the way! But your plate does look good now!
Mc Donalds cheesburgers and diet coke (yep, the fountain variety from McDonalds)… I like sweet tea too..but that’s harder to find in Michigan. I’m guessing they don’t have Mc Donalds in the D.R.
I actually think it looks good…..I like chicken. If I had to eat the same thing all week I would probably eat chicken fingers, macaroni and cheese or fries, and toast and a Mountain Dew.
I had kids when I was 19 – can you tell I only know how to eat kid food still?
Grits! Seriously. It’s my favorite food. Although, sometimes I dream of eating peanut butter on a spoon but since I’m allergic, guess not.
It would be chicken fajitas and a diet coke.
You know whats funny.. NOBODY is bringing up anything healthy. LOL.. I mean I dont see anyone saying “Man I could definitely live on marinated tofu and hummus.” Although my wife could probably live on hummus.
Fish, everyday. Grilled, fried, broiled, raw.
You had to go and put a picture of food on your blog, didn’t you! Now you have made this pregnant girl hungry for chicken!
I would have to say bacon. Bacon is the ULTIMATE food. It smells great cooking and it goes with everything. Who doesn’t like bacon???
Provecho, saludos desde Arequipa – PerĂº
i’m pretty sure i could eat mexican food every day. I’m not saying i wouldn’t pay the price later, but if i had a cast iron stomach i could eat mexican food EVERYDAY!
Sushi from the Social House in Vegas, or some grilled rainbow trout that I just pulled out of the river!
I know what its like as we ate too much chicken while working in the hay field!!
I would pick mashed potatoes. Real ones with or without a delicious gravy!
Have a great time!
Chick Fil A
Grapes and/or Ben & Jerry’s Half Baked ice cream = )
chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, and some fried okra with a tall glass of ice cold southern sweet tea (you know, the kind that’ll make you want to slap your momma)….then I’d have just enough room left over for some warm peach or cherry cobbler with a side of vanilla ice cream
Pasta with sauce and meat (any variety will do….spaghetti and lasagna) with fresh salad and french toast
Oh how I miss that! What is for breakfast?? Hot dog bun and peanut butter!?!
I am with Alan PBJ is the way to go!!
I’m a chicken gal
chicken and rice…from years living in Pananma
Your plate looks delish…
refried beans and flour tortillas…from my years living in New Mexico
That chicken doesn’t look too bad, however, I had to eat it every day I think I’d get pretty sick of it! I could eat a spinach salad every day (as long as I could change up the dressings and other stuff). YUM
Hope y’all have a great rest of the trip!
Lately, and this is sad… I eat a lot of Mexican offerings. That would be enchiladas, tacos, spicy rice. Of course the lunch special is less than $5 and comes with complimentary salsa and chips.
Somebody do an intervention.
@Tina, yes we still have hot dog buns with every meal. Good stuff.
That good ol’ Chicken and Rice. The fruit ROCKS there too.
@brian, you are right about the fruit. Wish wyou were here this week. Pete says you liven things up. I think he means that in a good way.
@pete, those are not hotdog buns. They are some kind of buns but not hotdog.
decaf mocha with 1/4 scoop sugar free vanilla.
yes!
it is TOO a meal.
chicken.
i would eat chicken every day if i could.
Ironically, I do eat the same thing every day. My health is tenuous, lots of pain and meds so my stomach is always iffy. I have rice, chicken and noodles, and oatmeal mostly. And if I’m having a good day, an apple! I know, you’re jealous aren’t you?
Mostly I’m just grateful I can eat that, and I’m even more grateful having seen the great work you’re doing there.
