What about water polo and water ballet? Pretty interesting stuff as I’m sure I’d drown trying to do it! If it were up to me, I’d nix basketball – not the same since they let the pros participate.

My faves are sailing, kayaking, any equestrian event and modern pentathalon … gotta cheer for those folks as they are so good at so many things! We love it all … get cable for the month!

Definately baseball, basketball, track and swimming…however I usually end up watching gymnastics with my wife and honestly like it. Love the golf suggestion too. I would definitely get into a little golf, especially since USA would dominate with Tiger Woods!

I LOOOOOVE the Olympics. I will watch any event, but I love gymnastics, swimming and track and field. One of my other favorite parts is the opening ceremonies. I usually get together with friends and cook food that would be authentic to where the games are being held. We are going to conquer Asian food this year. You can imagine my misery in ’04 when I came home, prepared some wonderful Italian food since the Olympics were in Turin, Italy and turned on the television only to find out that my cable line had been cut in my neighbor’s construction project. So there I stood, with my favorite t-shirt with the American Flag on it, on the phone with Corey the Comcast guy explaining that I had been waiting two years for this moment and all I had was a fuzzy t.v.. He tried to be sympathetic but could not fix my problem. Save your comments…. I have heard of Tivo, but the only time I would ever use it would be every two years for the Olympics. I am such a nerd!

i LOVE to watch the gymnastics. it amazes me that they can move like that without killing themselves. swimming is my second fav.

I’m much more of a winter guy, but swimming is up there. And I guess track and field is kind of the standard. It will be interesting to see who the big star is that is thrown every endorsement deal known to man.

I am more of a winter olympics fan, but I would watch swimming or gymnastics.
Why don’t they have dodge ball? They could show it on ESPN “The Ocho”
That would be way cool!
