I Love Being Your Pastor
Today, just about a mile from our Nashville campus, a couple hundred volunteers are giving up part of their weekend to serve at Light House Ministries. LHM is a Christian organization which works with homeless men, most of which are addicted to drugs.
Their mission is to give these guys a second chance. Besides getting them off drugs, they work diligently to help them find jobs and get off the streets.
I was so proud to watch our church out there serving beside these men as we helped them clean up their campus and create new dorm rooms in order to provide additional space for more men.
Here are some pictures of Cross Point in action:
I Love Being Your Pastor,
Pete

The best picture was of the kids…I love it that parents are modeling serving others in front of their kids!
Way to go CP!!!
I can’t wait to serve alongside you guys! This gets me SO PUMPED!
hey Pete, i just wanted to say something here…a bit off topic. but…you are not only the Pastor of Cross Point. You have, in a way, become mine and many others who do not attend your church in Nashville.
You have shared Gods word here, His wisdom and love and have become a Pastor to many throughout the country and beyond. So I just wanted to say thank you!
Thank you for your faithful service and taking the extra time to upkeep Without Wax to share even more of you with complete strangers! To HIM be the Glory!
And. I really heart Brandi!
That’s fantastic!!!!! I’m sure you made more of a difference than you’ll ever know!
(the grammar-nazi in me says change the “You’re” to “Your” in the title)
Awesome!

WE love you being OUR pastor!!!!!!
yeah i gotta agree with the comment above. i think you want “your” instead of “you’re”
I think you should just change it to “ya’ll’s” or “ur”. But mostly, we love u back. And I think I speak for ALL of us.
Much better!!!!
Christina
Yup, you guys totally rock…how freaking sweet is it to see the church being “the church”? Right on. I second Tam’s comment. Even though we have a home church back in the States we don’t have one here and so we listen to sermons online…but for fellowship, and other Godly wisdom, I hang out here.
Very cool!
I love seeing the church in action
Cross Point, keep living reckless for Christ!
Its great to see your church family working together…and it is really good for the shelter to see your church family working together. Our church did something similar with a womans shelter ( growingourcommunity.blogspot.com ) . The center and the women got to see a different side of the the church. Thanks for doing what you do.
I liked your concern for your people. You are really trying to feed them with the Word of God. You are trying to form a Christian community. You are working to have families working together in an ecclesial family. Keep it up!

Sounds like the CP team managed to accomplish a lot! Extra props to Wes and my husband for staying until 4:00 AM to make sure the phone system was fully installed and in working order.
