So the rumors are true….

Anne’s coming on staff and we are so excited. You can read all about her big move HERE!

I am so blessed to be surrounded by what I believe is the best team I’ve ever worked with. They work hard, pray hard, lead hard and play hard. I’m so thankful for each one of them. I know Anne is going to be an incredible fit and will help us take one more step toward becoming the community God is calling us to be.

Right now at Cross Point we are also in the process of accepting applications for a few other staff positions.

Pastor of Student Ministries…We are looking for a pastor who is committed to leading and creating a dynamic and innovative student ministry that can help develop students who are radically devoted to Christ, irrevocably committed to one another, and relentlessly dedicated to reaching the lost. If interested, please email your resume to Pat Rowland our Pastor of Family Ministries at pat@crosspoint.tv

Pastor of Spiritual Development and Small Groups…We are looking for someone who can help us craft and develop a spiritual transformation plan which will include a commitment to Community Groups ministry. This is a new position that we are really excited about. If interested, send your resume to Jenni Catron our Executive Director at jenni@crosspoint.tv

Hey when you get a second I need to talk to you about some serious concerns I have about one of your elders…. :)

Seriously though we could not be more excited!!!!

Um, isn’t Anne a Dennis Kucinich fan shouldn’t that make her unqualified for any position anywhere? Except maybe Sean Penn’s friend or something like that.

  5. Brian Alexander June 3, 2008 at 11:30 am #

If she is a fan of Dennis, she will fit in well with the staff and it’s “stature”

Pete, Thanks for the comment on my site. Good luck in finding some guys for your staff positions. Let me know if you need me to ask around. I know quite a few student ministry guys. :) Have a good day.

Well I have to tell you that if I am ever in your neck of the planet I will definitely visit. You people are so authentic and i cannot even begin to explain what a breath of fresh air this is in cyberspace (or in other spaces). Congrats to Anne and everyone at Cross Point for making a team like you have. You are onto something big and God is blessing blessing blessing. I can feel it all the way down here in the Sunshine State.

I know she will make a great asset to any team. Yay you guys. Just a small tip…if you ever decide to go bowling, make sure she is on YOUR team.

Great news having Anne on the team.

  12. I love me some kristiapplesauce. Oh wow. Memories. :)

Anne, welcome. Could you possibly be persuaded to be a Tennessee Vols fan? Help me out here!

Very interesting! When Anne announced that she was leaving Texas to go to Oklahoma… I knew she wouldn’t be staying there long. Two weeks ago I thought – I bet she’s going to Pete’s church. Praying for all connected. I’ll put out feelers about the positions you have open.

That’s awesome! Congratulations on the new team member. She’s joining a great team and really seems to complement your vision.

After reading the comments a word of advice Anne, I would stay away from GI and Brian. I think they have it in for you from the get go. :-)

From what I know of the Cross Point folks, staff and elders included, and you this is really a match made in heaven.

    Excited about your future together.

Wow, this is very cool and exciting for your church.

I can’t even begin to imagine the journey God is going to send your church on with the team you have.

    Very cool!

    congrats to crosspoint!!!

@GI – maybe you guys can help her out with that Dennis thing while you’re out bowling?!?

  19. Pete Wilson June 3, 2008 at 5:08 pm #

The real question is how is she at Wii bowling?

  20. JudiFree.com June 3, 2008 at 5:24 pm #

Wow! I’m sure God is going to fill those spots witht the right people! It’s so exciting to see this church growing especially in a time of economic hardship in this country.

I’m a little jealous that you guys get Anne and Jenni….it’s just not fair to all of the other churches out there. I wish I lived in Nashville.

  21. @pete – you don’t want to know. i’m sure chris would tell you though. oh, the humiliation. :)

  22. Giant Idiot June 3, 2008 at 8:17 pm #

@anne even more humiliating than being a Kucinich supporter?

  23. Joe Case June 4, 2008 at 2:47 am #

Dang, Pete!! You didn’t let us get big enough to hire her first!!!
Seriously, congratulations…and awesome addition!! Sounds like you guys might have another musical talent (Chris) as well!

I just wanted to say that I think this is really cool. Two of my favorite bloggers are going to be working together! About the Community Pastor job…soooooo tempting, but I know its not the right timing for me right now. But seriously, I’d love the chance to work with you some day on something… (or at least have a few inspiring conversations with you if we ever meeet). I admire your work here on your blog and the impact your church is having at large.

    Doug
