Last night we were at my dad’s house when Gage came running inside with blood streaming down his face. He was screaming that Jett pushed the swing (big tree swing) and it hit him in the head. Luckily, my sister, Kristi, who is a physicians assistant, was there to help clean him up. Five minutes later he said “I’m okay!” and ran back outside to play on the swing some more.
Oh, and just to clarify: I asked Jett what happened and he said he’s pretty sure the wind blew that swing into Gage’s head. Good to know.
Pray for Brandi. Living with 4 boys she’s got her hands full for the next 18 years or so. Here’s a few other things she gets to look forward to…

Good gravy! I’m glad he’s okay! I have two boys and I am afraid to know what all is in store for me! I love the pictures! They made me smile because I could put either of my boys faces in each one and could totally see them pulling it off! Again…glad the accident wasn’t a major ER visit!
Pete – Those pictures make my day! Crack me up! That is my life with my boys. They make you laugh, cry, mad, scared, greatful; OK every emotion. Without them life would be real boring. This is the stuff memories are made of. I’ll pray for you if you pray for me. God Bless – John
I’d like to tell you guys, it gets easier, it doesn’t! But, it’s always an adventure. Out of three sons and a daughter, my daughter is the only one to avoid stitches and the ER.
When, you look back at it, those are the things that strengthen us. Someone has said, relationships are forged in times of crisis. I’ve found that to be true.
So…….just look at all the bonding you have left to do. lol
OH MY!! I’m SO glad he’s OK….. he sure is a cutie patootie! And for the record, I believe Jett!!
He’s an ANGEL and can play some AWESOME basketball!!
Pete – I only have 1 boy and that’s enough! He started us out early with trips to the ER for arms, legs, etc. He continues to chug along.. I just accept the fact that it’s gonna be something with him ( oh yeah, wait until Little League and the black eyes and twisted ankles). Encouraging I know.
The one good thing about boys (Gage proved this)..give ‘em 10 minutes and they’re good to go. I call them Wash and Dry kids
Blessings
Yeah…so I just figured out that you and Brandi are connected. Duh, it takes me a while…I am AmericanAfican you know. 4 men in the house. Dang. I will pray twice for her today.
I’m glad Gage is okay. The pic made it look more serious than it was!
Poor Brandi!LOL I have just one boy. I can’t even imagine having 4!
Please pray for Melissa too. I’m in the same 4 boy boat! Good gravy is right!
Oh how fun. We have three boys…three accident prone, teenage, daredevil boys. I feel her pain!
I only have one boy, and that is more than enough! He is just under a year and a half, and he has already figured out where the buttons and switches are for most things – not to mention how to take everything apart. We need all the prayers we can get with this future engineer.
glad your son is ok, but that is awesome. I hate to see kids get hurt but there is a bit of man pride there when they shake it off like Gage did. Tough youngin…
i have three boys too…love some tough kids that can shake it off and keep rollin’
love the name of your blog
Poor baby! Glad he’s okay.
phew… glad he’s okay. that picture looks pretty horrendous, i must admit. boys rebound fast. wow.
and…. the second to last picture (panty-liner-coated boy) is hilARious!
When I saw that picture on Twitter I was thinking at least stitches! Glad he is doing well!
I’ve got two boys and we have already had our share of bumps and bruises, and I am sure we will have even more. Just tonight, Gavin was showing me his “Monkey Boy” moves on my mother-in-laws swing set
I had the dad thought of “let him be a boy” and then I had pictures like this one in the back of my mind…I sided with letting him be a boy.
Pass this on would you please? Brandi…praying for you girl!!
would it be wrong if i ever printed and framed the 2nd to last picture?
i hope not. cuz i’m gonna!
yes i am!
tam – Is it bad that I remembered what picture you were talking about? Or maybe I should say I just “knew”.
Yes, Boys WILL be boys! These pictures are great! I especially like the second to the last one.
Pete how old are your boys? I could have sworn that they all had birthdays the last couple of weeks. I mean Brandi bragged about how fertile she is in the fall.
that is not a frog in his mouth!
to be fair, my girl has done that with “feminine products” too!
This is what I have to look forward to. Ours went head first off of a rock in our yard on Saturday so we’re getting closer to “the big one”.
Poor little guy! I’ve got a couple of posts on my blog about boys being boys, and man can they come up with stuff!
Always a different day, that’s for sure!
this is a picture I took of my nephew, thought you might enjoy. Boys will be boys

those are just awesome photos!
You continually crack me up! Those pictures are hilarious. Thing is, I can visualize you and the boys doing that.
