Want To Make $1,000,000?

Apparently, PETA announced it would award $1 million to the first person to come up with some kind of commercially viable in vitro meat by 2012. You can read all about it right here. It is supposed to be “indistinguishable from the real deal.” So you can give it a try, but I think I will stick with the real thing.

How about you? Would you switch? Should we switch?

LOL. On a different day, I might have a more profound response…(well, not likely)….but Joe grilled out chicken and hamburgers last night (over charcoal) and he grilled pork chops the night before over wood chips….so I’m not feeling the alternative at the moment. But can’t wait to read the other responses.

I don’t think I could switch because after 5 years of eating it, I’m sure they will discover why it will hurt you.

I used to work for a black angus beef company…it was good. I love beef.

I quote Denis Leary, “Not eating meat is a decision. Eating meat is an instinct” That pretty much sums it up for me.

I’m a happy carnivore, so no thanks.

I know it’s unusual for me, but I’m going to stay out of this discussion. Besides being highly opinionated, I was a farmboy. If PETA had prisons, I’d probably be on death row. lol

Seriously, I do have great respect for all of God’s creation.

Proverbs 12:10 tells us, “A righteous man cares for the needs of his animal, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel.”

But…….I’m like Judi, I don’t want to be the one to try that stuff out. Laboratory meat? Yuck!

    Acts 10:12-13

In the sheet were all sorts of animals, reptiles, and birds. 13 Then a voice said to him, “Get up, Peter; kill and eat them.”

Thanks Luke for clearing that up…..

Yeah. I’d stick with the real thing. You can’t replace an authentic, juicy, slightly red steak. Mmm.. Now I’m hungry.
