I’m So Excited…

…and I just can’t hide it (sorry, I couldn’t resist). Here are a few things I’m excited about, even after a very long day.

-God is doing some incredible things through our Plan B series at Cross Point. Almost every day I’m hearing more stories from people who are trusting God through their current circumstances. Can’t wait to see what God is going to do next!

-This afternoon I got to have lunch with Brad Ruggles who was passing through town. I love reading Brad’s blog. He’s a super creative guy who has a real heart to plant a church. I’m excited to see what God does through you guys in Indiana.

-This week our staff is taking a field trip to visit with David Landrith and his staff at Long Hollow Baptist Church. I love learning from other churches and hearing how God is using them

-Tonight after the 6:00 p.m. service I had dinner with Dave Parker and his wife Michelle. Dave leads worship for us at Cross Point Dickson, but was in Nashville leading worship today. It was great to get to spend some time with them and hear more about their story.

-CLICK HERE to read this pastor’s announcement that blew me away. I’m so proud of you, Eugene. You are an inspiration to me. I hope you will continue to allow God use you in powerful ways! You are going to make a global difference.

So, what are YOU excited about these days?

I’m excited about my family and my career. I’m excited that, even though it hurts, God continues to mold, shape and refine me, to make me better than I was yesterday. I’m excited to see Crosspoint grow and serve. I’m excited about the new attenders of my awesome community group…..and I’m excited to be going to the beach this week with 2 dear wonderful friends from Crosspoint.

    Pete,

Oh Pete, did you invite me to the mountain top? No….I don’t recall such an invite. Anyhoo…..would you really want to be stuck with me, Pat Zimmer, and Sujette Overstreet for several days? We are a chatty bunch….a hoot I must say….but I’m sure you’d pull your hair out. Keep us in your prayers as we travel and as we come up with yet more ways we can bless Crosspoint with merely our presence! HA. That was SERIOUSLY a joke….but I’m in a playful spirit today.

Pete, thanks for your question about training small group leaders. I’m very excited these days about connecting people in community. Truly, this is something that never leaves me!
On another note…great job with your video work. The clip on your home page (church site) is well done. Keep up the great work Pete.

    Pete,
I’m excited to share that God works in wonderous ways! I’ve always said, “There’s a reason for everything!” I’m in situations all of the time that prove this:

    - when we need the extra money; my caregiving services pick up for me to work and bring home extra for the family!

    - when things, “money” are fine; my caregiving services slow… freeing me up to be available for other things – than I find my family or church need me!

    - when trials come… and I know there going to “blow up” verbally, I get sent off to work – so that I have time to focus and pray – giving it all to HIM that can help me through; and learn to focus on learning what I need to in the situation (LOL – how does my work help out so much indeed!!)

    - when dates change for my volunteer meetings and or babysitting to coordinate with my schedule changing before I even realize it! THAT’S A GOD MOMENT! This week, I had a meeting scheduled for monday night, but god called to caregiving needs so I’d have to leave the meeting early; well on Sunday they rescheduled the meeting for next week. Another time: I’m scheduled to sit for a 2 y/o on Wednesday’s but someone else requested Wednesday this week; so I’ll have her Thursday – leaving me the opportunity to have an interview on Wednesday!!! God is good!

Thanks for taking the time to make us think about different situations in our life & why we’re excited!

Hey also… I’d like to know if there is anyway to get information on your Plan B study for someone out of state – to participate?

    Have a blessed week, HL
