Rainy Day

I know he’s my youngest son (Brewer), but come on, this is one cute kid! It’s moments like this when we think about having a fourth. Okay, moment is over, we are SO done.

What did you do in the rain yesterday?

For once, I kind of enjoyed it. Someone, at the office, was complaining amd I thought about what my Granddad used to say, when the kids would complain about the rain. He’d always say, “We’ll need this rain later on.”

After last years drought, this is a blessing.

Do you know what time the 700 club piece is going to be shown? I’ll probably have to set the DVR, since I go to bed with the chickens.

Brewer is a good looking young man.

Sherry and I drove for almost 7 hours in the rain from Morgantown KY to Kingsport TN to attend a funeral. It was the worst driving weather I have ever experienced. Kind of a downer day.

    haha to Brian’s comment!
I usually run errands on Friday but yesterday I babysat Bradley Swift! I had so much fun and was able to invest in someone else for a day.

haha – great pic. I took a walk in the park even though it was raining. The ducks seemed to enjoy the rain.

I have managed to convince my 3 year old, Asher, that rain is a good thing. We always talk about how wonderful it is that God is watering the flowers in mommy’s garden. I worked from home and we stayed in our jammies all day!

This wasn’t yesterday, but the day that it rained really, really hard, I walked from class back to my dorm sans rain protection. I was so drenched by the time I got home, but it was well worth it. I love rain like that! I think it must hurt God’s feelings just a little when people complain about the rain! Look at all the good things rain does for us! It’s a special gift from God that we shouldn’t take for granted.

Cute pic! It was raining this morning and my five year old son wanted to go play outside to which I replied a fast No! Next time it’s gumboots and umbrellas!

We had a couple of days of heavy rain, but we needed it…we went book shopping and had a family night watching Alvin and the Chipmunks…no rain play for us!

I watched too much TV!!! That is just being honest. My boys are teenagers and for the most part they are good kids….I just miss the days when they said and/or did things that were cute. I love hanging out with them, if I can ever get them to stay home….BTW, You have a precious family! Thanks for sharing!
