On Thursday night before Easter, I had a discussion with my family and a few friends about the "scary childhood prayer" and what an impact it had had on my life. Then .. BOOM ... you mentioned that very thing in your message on Easter. I have only been attending Cross Point for about 6 weeks but this seems to happen with much frequency. As I worshiped I was struck by the presence of the Spirit and comforted by the fact that we can ask the Holy Spirit to help us extend the amazing grace and mercy of Jesus Christ to others in our daily lives--rather than succumb to our sinful nature. Easter and the church service I attended (in my hometown) impacted me by reminding me that the Holy Spirit is at work in us and that we should invoke it more often.
