Doing the ADD thing and randomly reading Wordpress blogs, and this was just a random 'accidental' visit to your blog, I realized what an impact blogging can have-esp for the church. I wasn't even looking for this and I read it and was really touched by your church! What a great witness! Really wierd part? I live about an hour east of Nashville. Do you know how many blogs there are and happened on this one? Just had to comment...pray your blog 'vines' out more each day!

It is amazing what a large group of people can accomplish in a short period of time. I was honored to serve with such a great group of people on Saturday. It is a privilege to get to be the hands and feet of Christ. I'd like to give a shout out to Bryn who headed up the painting team. She was a great leader. What an amazing church we have!!!! ROCK ON!!!

I had the privilege of getting to hang out with 7 one and two year olds while their parents were working over at the shelter. Getting to observe their energy, sweet interactions with each other (learning to share!) and how free they are with their love (You know when they start backing up toward you, that they have decided that your lap is a place worth sitting in for a while!), was definitley inspiring to me.

I too am continuously amazed at the way Cross Point comes together to truly be an extension of God's grace and love. I love being a part of this community!

While I was watching(when I should have been working), a friend of ours asked me, "what are you laughing about". I said, I'm always amazed at the diversity of our church. There we were, working side by side with a lawyer and a painter. I asked the fellow who turned out to be a painter, you must do this for a living, you're better than the rest of us. His reply was priceless. He said, God gifts each one of us differently.

We all need to listen to that. All of us were there, with our different gifts, doing the same job. The job isn't really painting and building playgrounds, if it was anyone could do it. It's much larger. It is introducing Jesus to a world that needs Him desperately.

I'm honored to serve with each one of you guys.
